Chart time frames Chart types 1 The X axis runs horizontally along the bottom of the chart providing a timeline for everything that has happened on the chart. The most recent price action is shown on the right side of the chart and the most distant price action is shown on the left side of the chart. CHART SETUP Let’s start from the very beginning and take a look at how a forex price chart is set up. Once you understand the basics, you will be much more successful applying more advanced concepts to your technical analysis. The Y axis runs vertically along the right side of the chart providing a price scale for the price movement on the chart. Lower prices are shown toward the bottom of the chart and higher prices are shown toward the top of the chart. Forex price charts are built on two axes—the X axis (horizontal axis) and the Y axis (vertical axis). When you put the two axes together, you can see at what price a currency pair was trading at a particular time in the past. For example, you can see that the EUR/USD was trading at 1.4000 on 20 September 2007. 2 CHART TIME FRAMES Saxo Bank forex charts give you the ability to analyze the price movement of your favorite currency pair anywhere from a minute-by-minute basis to a month-by-month basis. You have the flexibility to choose which time frame is best for you. If you are a shorter-term trader, you will want to use shorter time frames for your charts. If you are a longer-term trader, you will want to use longer time frames for your charts. For example, a trader who is looking to quickly jump in and out of trades for 10- to 20-pip profits would most likely want to be watching a 1-minute or a 5-minute chart. A trader who is looking to hold onto trades for a longer period of time to take advantage of larger price moves would most likely want to be watching an hourly or a daily chart. Some traders even choose to use multiple time frames so they can see how the movement of a currency pair looks from various points of view. We will discuss this concept in detail in a later section. 3
Changing the sixth generation Corvette Oil Difficulty: 2 out of 5. Time required: Plan on about 1.5 hours taking your time. Tools required: Ramps, Floor jack, Jack stand(s), 13mm wrench or socket, Oil filter wrench, lifting puck, wheel stops, shop rag. Materials required: 1 compatible oil filter, 6 quarts of compatible oil. Capacities are 5.5 Quarts with a filter change for the non-Z51 and 6 quarts with a filter change on the cars with the RPO Z51. Recommended oil is Mobil 1 fully synthetic 5W-30 (GM spec 4718M). Recommended Oil filter is GM UPF44 (2005), UPF46 (2006) UPF48 (2007-2009) If you have access to a lift you can skip to step 6. If you are doing this at home without access to a lift continue to the photos below. Step 1. Get the car up in the air. I use a couple of 2x4’s and my rhino ramps. The 2x4’s will give enough clearance to get up on the Rhino ramps without deflecting the side air dams. Step 2. Get yourself a little more clearance on the driver’s side for easier access to the oil drain plug and filter. Once I have the car up on the ramps I take my floor jack and jacking puck and raise the drivers side further. Don’t forget to block the rear tires once you have the car up on the ramp. Step 3. Get yourself some extra room. Once the jack is in place and the car is up out of the way I will turn the ramp around so that you have easy access behind the tire. Step 4. Place a jack stand up front under the frame support and lower the car back down. Now that the car is lifted and safely supported you can begin the process of changing out the oil. Step 5. Place your oil pan under the drain plug. I like to use a piece of cardboard under the drain pan to collect any oil that may miss the pan during the process of removing the...
1WARNING To avoid accidental start-up of motorcycle, and possible personal injury, disconnect the battery cables (negative cable first) before performing any of the following procedures. If the positive cable should contact ground with the negative cable installed, the resulting sparks may cause a battery explosion resulting in personal injury. 1. See Figure 1. The electrical schematic and connection points on motorcycle are shown. 2. See Service Parts Illustration and Figure 2. Mount fog lamp switch housing on left handlebar switch housing with top screw in housing. Route switch wires along underside of left handlebar to steering head. Secure wires to handlebar with cable straps from kit. 3. See Figure 3. Splice fog lamp switch lead to yellow wire as shown. To achieve a good electrical splice perform the following: Foglamp Figure 1. COIL AND SPARK PLUG CABLE CONSIDERATIONS The HI-4 ignition system is intended for use with Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. The HI-4 replaces the original equipment (OE) electronic ignition system on 1978 and later models as well as the points and mechanical advance on early models. The HI-4 offers switch selectable single and dual fire mode. The unit can initially be set to operate in dual fire mode with the OE coil. At a later time, the user can add a Crane single fire coil and switch the unit to single fire mode. In single fire mode, each cylinder is fired independently and only on the compression stroke. Single fire operation increases engine power at high RPM, improves starting, and reduces the likelihood of backfiring at low RPM. Coils used with the HI-4 must have at least 2 ohms primary resistance. Coils with 4 ohms or higher may be used, but may not produce optimum output. We recommend the following coils depending on application: Dual Fire. Use hookup shown in Figure 5. You can use the OE coil. However, the Crane 8-3006 coil will provide optimum performance and output. The Crane 83006 will fit all stock mounting locations. Single Fire With Single Plug Heads. Use hookup shown in Figure 6. Use Crane 8-3005 coil. This is a "Siamese" coil with two independent sections and will fit in the stock mounting location on most H-D® motorcycles. You can also use two dual spark tower coils and ground one of the towers on each coil to the engine case or frame. You will have to fabricate a bracket to mount the second coil.
