The grammar seems to be off; but it makes great sense if you think about it. Consider the steps involved in the real estate sales process. Anyone who has dealt with real estate, whether in development or marketing, knows that the whole process begins with the basic idea of providing or addressing a basic human need: a domicile or a place where people reside and perform almost all that they need to do in life. And with the advent of modern technology, many of the human functions can now be done at home, even real estate selling or practically running a global business. Having a website that is appealing, effective and dynamic is the potent weapon toward making real estate a continuing leader industry in the global economy. Hence, considering the role that real estate plays in the human sphere, facilitating the development and marketing of real estate aids in making life not just comfortable but meaningful and fruitful.
Home Therapy Program Booklets This booklet was developed to serve as a guide during this crucial post-operative healing time. Included within this booklet is a week-by-week protocol, which should be followed to the best of your ability. About TopDog Founded in 2004 by veterinarian Dr. James St. Clair, TopDog Animal Health & Rehabilitation started as a small local canine rehabilitation facility in central Connecticut. As more clients and patients came to TopDog, Dr. St. Clair began to realize that there was extreme diversity when it came to the quality and quantity of information provided to pet owners after their dog’s orthopedic surgery. It was at this point that TopDog’s mission shifted to developing a new standard of care across the veterinary industry with regards to educating pet owners about the importance of post-surgical rehabilitation. In addition to client education, in 2007 TopDog established TopDog Joint Performance Laboratories as a division of TopDog Animal Health & Rehabiliation. Working alongside industry leaders in the field of veterinary nutraceuticals, TopDog began developing progressive joint health products with an unwavering focus on quality, specifically designed for post-surgery dogs, as well as for long-term management of joint health. As a part of its corporate office, TopDog Animal Health & Rehabilitation still maintains an exclusive rehabilitation facility for the benefit of the local community. To assist you in keeping track of the day-to-day “to do’s”, a daily calendar has been included. In addition, there are visual aids and descriptions to help guide you through the various therapy tasks. We also encourage you to check out our website www. topdoghealth.com where we have videos reviewing the various therapies and exercises. We hope that you find this booklet to be an indispensable resource during the next several weeks of ...
hardware as it became available. When that didn’t work, they tried to scale existing relational solutions by simplifying their database schema, de-normalizing the schema, relaxing durability and referential integrity, introducing various query caching layers, separating read-only from write-dedicated replicas, and, finally, data partitioning in an attempt to address these new requirements. Although each of these techniques extended the functionality of existing relational technologies, none fundamentally addressed the core limitations, and they all introduced additional overhead and technical tradeoffs. In other words, these were good band-aids but not cures. A major influence on the eventual design of NoSQL databases came from a dramatic shift in IT operations. When the majority of relational database technology was designed, the predominant model for hardware deployments involved buying large servers attached to dedicated storage area networks (SANs). Databases were designed with this model in mind: They expected there to be a single machine with the responsibility of managing the consistent state of the database on that system’s connected storage. In other words, databases managed local data in files and provided as much concurrent access as possible given the machine’s hardware limitations. Replication of data to scale concurrent access across multiple systems was generally unnecessary, as most systems met design goals with a single server and reliability goals with a hot stand-by ready to take over query processing in the event of master failure. Beyond simple failover replication, there were only a few options, and they were all predicated on this same notion of completely consistent centralized data management. Technologies such as two-phase commit and products such as Oracle’s RAC were available, but they were hard to manage, very expensive, and scaled to only a handful of machines. Other solutions available included logical SQL statement-level replication, single-master multi-replica log-based replication, and other home-grown approaches, all of which have serious limitations and generally introduce a lot of administrative and technical overhead. In the end, it was the common architecture and design assumptions underlying most relational databases that failed to address the scalability, latency, and availability requirements of many of the largest sites during the massive growth of the Internet. Given that databases were centralized and generally running on an organization’s most expensive hardware containing its most precious information, it made sense to create an organizational structure that required at least a 1:1 ratio of database administrators to database systems to protect and nurture that investment. This, too, was not easy to scale, was costly, and could slow innovation. A growing number of companies were still hitting the scalability and performance wall even when using the best practices and the most advanced technologies of the time. Database architects had sacrificed many of the most central aspects of a relational database, such as joins and fully consistent data, while introducing many complex and fragile pieces into the operations puzzle. Schema devolved from many interrelated fully expressed tables to something much more like a simple key/value look-up. Deployments of expensive servers were not able to keep up with demand. At this point these companies had taken relational databases so far outside their intended use cases that it was no wonder that they were unable to meet performance requirements. It quickly became clear to them that they could do much better by building something in-house that was tailored to their particular workloads. These in-house custom solutions are the inspiration behind the many NoSQL products we now see on the market.
Almost everyone experiences pain in the abdomen at one time or another. Most of the time, it is not caused by a serious medical problem. There are many organs in the abdomen. Pain in the abdomen can originate from any one of them, including: Organs related to digestion -- the end of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas The aorta -- a large blood vessel that runs straight down the inside of the abdomen The appendix -- an organ in the lower right abdomen that no longer serves much function The kidneys -- two bean-shaped organs that lie deep within the abdominal cavity The spleen -- an organ involved in blood maintenance and infection control However, the pain may start from somewhere else -- like your chest or pelvic area. You may also have a generalized infection, such as the flu or strep throat that affects many parts of your body. The intensity of the pain does not always reflect the seriousness of the condition causing the pain. Severe abdominal pain can be from mild conditions, such as gas or the cramping of viral gastroenteritis. On the other hand, relatively mild pain or no pain may be present with life-threatening conditions, such as cancer of the colon or early appendicitis. Other ways of describing pain in your abdomen include: Pain may be generalized, meaning that it is present in more than half of your belly. This is more typical for a stomach virus, indigestion, or gas. If the pain becomes more severe, it may be caused by a blockage of the intestines. Pain that is localized is found in only one area of your belly. This type of pain is more likely to be a sign of a problem in one of your organs, such as the appendix, gallbladder, or stomach (ulcers). Cramp-like pain is usually not serious, and is more likely to be due to gas and bloating. It is often followed by diarrhea. More worrisome signs include pain that occurs more often, lasts longer (more than 24 hours), or has a fever with it. Colicky pain is pain that comes in waves, usually starts and ends suddenly, and is often severe. Kidney stones and gallstones are common causes of this type of belly pain. Causes Many different conditions can cause abdominal pain. The key is to know when you must seek medical care right away. In many cases you can simply wait, use home care remedies, and call your doctor at a later time only if the symptoms persist. Possible causes include: Appendicitis (inflammation of the appendix) Bowel blockage or obstruction Cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder) with or without gallstones Chronic constipation Dissecting abdominal aortic aneurysm Diverticulitis Food allergy Food poisoning (salmonella, shigella) or viral gastroenteritis (stomach flu) Heartburn, indigestion, or gastroesophageal reflux Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis) Intussusception -- while uncommon, this is a serious possible cause of pain in an infant who may be bringing the knees to the chest and crying Irritable bowel syndrome Ischemic bowel Kidney stones Lactose intolerance Mesenteric insufficiency or infarction (lack of enough blood supply to the gut, sometimes resulting in the...
