Improving Wireless Sensor Network Performance Using  BigData and Clustering Approach

Well-organized big data get together in the densely distributed sensor networks is, therefore, a challenging research area. One of the most effective solutions to address this challenge is to utilize the sink node’s mobility to facilitate the data gathering. While this technique can reduce energy consumption of the sensor nodes, the use of mobile sink presents additional Challenges such as determining the sink node’s trajectory and cluster formation prior to data collection. In this paper, we propose a new mobile sink routing and data gathering method through network clustering based on modified ExpectationMaximization (EM) technique. In addition, we derive an optimal number of clusters to minimize the energy consumption. The effectiveness of our proposal is verified through numerical results.

Solar power for Wireless Sensor Networks in  Environment Monitoring Applications-A Review

Routing in Wireless Sensor Networks has to take into account the limited battery resources of the nodes. Sensor nodes can also be powered by other energy sources like solar energy. This paper provides a review of Environment monitoring using Wireless Sensor Networks. The issues related to environment sensor networks is highlighted. The real time applications in environment monitoring is presented with emphasis on energy conservation. Furthermore in this paper we address the problem of scavenging energy using solar powered devices.

Nonlinear observers for attitude estimation in gyroless  spacecraft via Extended Kalman filter algor

This paper designs an observer to estimate the spacecraft’s angular velocity using only Euler angles attitude without gyroscope measurement. This work contributes as an alternative or backup system during unavailable gyroscope measurement due to faulty sensor or reduction of sensor hardware for cost reduction.In this work, the observer model for satellite attitude is derived in their nonlinear form, and the observability of the nonlinear system is investigated using Lie derivative. The performance of the designed observer is analyzed and verified using real flight data of Malaysian satellite by employing Extended Kalman Filter algorithm.

Carbon nanotubes(CNTs) aresomeof most valuable materials that have highest thermal conductivity.The thermal conductivity of individual carbon nanotubes is 2000 Wm −1 K −1 compared with the thermal conductivity 419 Wm −1 K −1 of silver.Therefore, carbon nanotubes have opened a new way for heat dissipation for high power electronic components, such as micro-processor, high brightness LED, etc. In this paper, we present the simulation results on heat dissipation for a high power electronic component using carbon nanotube nanofluids.

Automatic Pneumatic Door Using IR Sensors, serves to automate the mechanism of door operation using Pneumatic, Arduino microcontroller and infrared sensor technology.  Genetic Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Network With Localization Based Techniques

In wireless sensor network nodes position estimation in space is known as localization. Node localization in wireless sensor network is important for many applications and to find the position with Received Signal Strength Indicator requires a number of anchor nodes. However the estimation of distance from signal strength decay in not very accurate especially in time varying environmental conditions and the estimation of exact direction required highly directive antenna but, may still affected by multipath fading. A Genetic Algorithm for wireless sensor network localization is proposed in this paper to solve the issue that the positioning accuracy is low with minimum anchor nodes. Hence in this paper we are presenting a Genetic algorithm for optimization approach which tries to find the optimal location by satisfying both the criteria with minimal error. The simulation results also shows effectively outperform both the techniques.
