LM35 Precision Centigrade Temperature Sensors (Rev. D)

Product Folder Sample & Buy Technical Documents Support & Community Tools & Software LM35 www.ti.com SNIS159D – AUGUST 1999 – REVISED OCTOBER 2013 LM35 Precision Centigrade Temperature Sensors FEATURES DESCRIPTION The LM35 series are precision integrated-circuit temperature sensors, with an output voltage linearly proportional to the Centigrade temperature. Thus the LM35 has an advantage over linear temperature sensors calibrated in ° Kelvin, as the user is not required to subtract a large constant voltage from the output to obtain convenient Centigrade scaling. The LM35 does not require any external calibration or trimming to provide typical accuracies of ±¼°C at room temperature and ±¾°C over a full −55°C to +150°C temperature range. Low cost is assured by trimming and calibration at the wafer level. The low output impedance, linear output, and precise inherent calibration of the LM35 make interfacing to readout or control circuitry especially easy. The device is used with single power supplies, or with plus and minus supplies. As the LM35 draws only 60 μA from the supply, it has very low self-heating of less than 0.1°C in still air. The LM35 is rated to operate over a −55°C to +150°C temperature range, while the LM35C is rated for a −40°C to +110°C range (−10° with improved accuracy). The LM35 series is available packaged in hermetic TO transistor packages, while the LM35C, LM35CA, and LM35D are also available in the plastic TO-92 transistor package. The LM35D is also available in an 8-lead surface-mount smalloutline package and a plastic TO-220 package.

IBM WebSphere Application Server V8.5 Java 7 © 2012 IBM Corporation This presentation covers using Java 7 with IBM WebSphere Application Server version 8.5. WAS85_Java7_revisions_IEA.ppt Page 1 of 11 Table of contents Overview Installation Developer configuration scenario Administrator configuration scenario Soft real-time configuration scenario References 2 Java 7 © 2012 IBM Corporation This module will cover the topics listed here. WAS85_Java7_revisions_IEA.ppt Page 2 of 11 Overview of Java selection Supports selection of which bit architecture to use – z/OS: 31 or 64 bit – IBM i: 32 or 64 bit – Distributed: only selectable during first install Supports selection of Java version to use – Java 6 – Java 7 (including soft real-time capabilities) Only supports WebSphere provided SDKs Configure SDK used by command line scripts Configure SDK used by servers, proxy servers, and application clients – Configure existing servers, nodes, profiles, or installation – Configure defaults for new servers, nodes, and profiles 3 Java 7 © 2012 IBM Corporation Java 7 is optionally supported by the product. In fact, the product supports several different Software Development Kits or SDKs. Extensions in WebSphere Application Server version 8.0 provided support for selecting a Java SDK by bit architecture at any time. The z/OS platform allows selection of 31 or 64 bit SDKs. The IBM i platform allows selection of 32 or 64 bit SDKs. However, the distributed platform only allows the bit architecture to be selected during installation of the product and not at any point after that. Once the bit architecture choice has been made, only those SDKs that support that bit architecture are available for selection. WebSphere Application Server version 8.5 adds Java version selection to the choice and bit architecture. The product comes with Java 6 as the default Java SDK. Java 7 can be added at any point in time to the installation, thereby adding Java 7 SDK selection to the possible choices of Java SDK that can be used. Java 7 also includes support for soft realtime capabilities, which are discussed later in the module. In general, the product only supports Java SDK selection of WebSphere approved or provided SDKs. However, the Liberty Profile does support use other SDKs. See the Liberty documentation and education material for how to use other non-product provided...
