Scirj The Effect of Financial Situation on Continuance Commitment Research with Public Employees

Commitment is a very important term for all organizations. Especially teacher’s commitment is related with their self-effort to the quality of the education service. Most of the commitment research use Allen & Meyer scale. In Allen Meyer scale, commitment is defined with three dimensions: emotional commitment, normative commitment and continuance commitment. For this research continuance commitment will be focused to understand the relationship between employee’s financial (credit loan and possession status) situation and their organizational commitment. It is assumed that especially financial burdens are the driver for continuance commitment. So from this view, it is questioned, if continuance is a kind of commitment or obligation. Main research problem of this current study is to clarify teacher’s continuance commitment and it’s relation with financial dependency for public workers. Sample of the study is working teachers at public schools in Turkey. 240 of those teachers were comple

scirj-Sekala and Niskala Accountability practices in the clan-based organization MGPSSR in Bali, Ind

MGPSSR is a clan organization based on kinship and lineage. It comprises individuals and families of the descendants of the Sapta Rsi, seven venerated sages in ancient Bali. Initially, it was established to plan and supervise the construction and renovation of temples related to the seven sages. It was established in 1952 and enters its 61 years this year. One interesting phenomenon about the organization is its ability to carry out its missions for years without suffering any problem related to its financial accountability. The purpose of this research is finding out and understanding the accountability practices of this organization. The research used the ethnomethodology approach, which focused on methods and ways the MGPSSR carries out its accountability practices. Data were acquired through interviews, archival and documentation study, as well as observation. The interview was carried out with the organization’s executives and members, and members of the general public.

scirj-Relation between the New Anthropometric Obesity Parameters and Inflammatory Markers in Healthy

Background: The aim of this study is to estimate the relationship between the new anthropometric parameters [waist circumference to height ratio (WHtR), body adiposity index (BAI) and visceral adiposity index (VAI)] and some inflammatory markers (hsCRP, fibrinogen and TNF-alpha). Methods: Randomly selected 182 healthy adult men included to this study. Height, body weight (BW), waist circumference (WC) and hip circumference (HC) were measured and body mass index (BMI), waist circumferences to hip circumferences ratio (WHR), WHtR, BAI and VAI were calculated (VAI score was calculated after biochemical analysis). Subjects were grouped as Group 1 and Group 2 according to VAI, and normals, overweights and obeses according to BMI. Plasma fibrinogen, serum TNF-alpha and serum hsCRP levels were measured. Results: All APs and hsCRP were increased in GROUP 2 significantly. TNF-alpha and fibrinogen levels were similar. Age, serum hsCRP and plasma fibrinogen were higher in overweights compared ...

Scirj Pre Clinical Research of GelatinAlginate Yarn for Medical Textile

This study had prepared mixed of 75/25 gelatin/alginate yarn used as suture biomaterials. The raw materials were commercial gelatin powder of 250 Bloom gel strength and sodium alginate extracted from brown seaweed of Sargassum species. Process was done by wet spinning using spinnerets size 2000 μ. Solution consist of a mix gelatin and alginate on the viscosity of 3000 cps and pH 7, made by wet spinning method and coagulated in CaCl2 solution and alcohol to produce yarn which is used as surgical sutures.

scirj-PERSONALITY, SELF EFFICACY AND HEALTH ANXIETY AS PREDICTORS OF HEALTH RISK BEHAVIOUR AMONG SCA

Scavengers working on dumpsite are often engagedin various health risk behaviour as a result of working conditions with solid waste. The study examines personality traits, self-efficacy and health anxiety as predictors ofhealth risk behaviouramong scavengers. For personality traits, widely accepted Big Five was utilized as indicators; the Big Five dimensions were openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. Personal safety, violence related behaviour, suicide and sexual behaviour were utilized for health risk behaviour.

scirj-MATHEMATICAL MODELLING AND OPTIMIZATION OF THE PROCESS OF DERIVING BORIC ACID FROM ULEXITE MIN

Ulexite is a sodium calcium boron hydrate used in producing compounds. Its chemical formula is Na2O2CaO5B2O316H2O, and it superabounds in Turkey. One of the significant boron compounds derived from boron minerals is boric acid. The aim of this study is to produce boric acid in the wake of interaction of ulexite with hydrochloric acid solution, and offering an alternative process to producing boric acid by forming the mathematical model of this processing. Full factorial design method has been used in the study. Some of the parameters used in the process have been made steady, and the others have been accepted as variable factor in formation of mathematical model. Invariant parameters are granule size, reaction time and stirring speed. Hydrochloric acid concentration has been accepted as temperature and solid to liquid ratio variable factors for the formation of mathematical model. Primarily, the mathematical model of the process and three-parameter full factorial design have been...

Scirj Impact of Financial Leverage on Financial Performance Special Reference to John Keells Holdings plc in Sri Lanka

A general concept prevails that the financial leverage is helpful to enhance the financial performance of the companies. For measuring the impact of financial leverage on the financial health of the companies, it is essential to know whether a positive relationship exists between financial leverage and financial performance or not? So, this study is intended to test the hypothesis and to measure a relationship between the financial leverage and the financial performance of the John Keells Holdings plc in Sri Lanka during the periods of 2006-2012. The findings of the study show a negative relationship between the financial leverage and the financial performance of the John Keells Holdings plc. But the financial leverage has a significant impact on the financial performance of the John Keells Holdings plc in Sri Lanka.

scirj-Determination of Optimum Tilt Angle and Orientation of a Flat Plate Solar Collector for Differ

The importance of collector tilt angle and orientation in solar systems cannot be overemphasized. It determines the intensity of the radiation on a collector and its ability to reflect, transmit and absorb the radiation. In this study, collector tilt angle and orientation for Kano, Nigeria which lies on latitude 12.10N was determined experimentally. A solarimeter mounted on a plane of a simply constructed flat plate solar collector was used to measure the solar radiation and determine the angle at which the record is high. The optimum collector tilt angles for the months of November to April were found to lie between (Φ + 3o) ≤ β_opt≤ (Φ + 33o). At these inclinations, the mean monthly solar radiation recorded were about 6%, 3% and 11% higher than at latitude Ф, Ф+150 and Ф -150 respectively

Scirj DCD, a Potential Shield to Uplift Local Milk (Case Study based on Sri Lankan Milk Powder Industry, 201213)

Milk powder industry posted country imports of 84,000 MT of milk products in 2011 at a cost of Rs. 30 billion (Central Bank of Sri Lanka, 2012) which is a startling amount in comparison to other powdered milk importers in the world despite having lesser population and extent of land at the same time this was a burning issue to the Sri Lanka as this imports of dairy products from foreign countries had become a critical issue in terms of trade balance deficit reported in balance of payment in the country taking 1195.4 billion of rupees equaling to 9409 US million dollars and imports of dairy products alone accounting for 2.5% of Trade balance deficit (Central Bank of Sri Lanka, 2013). At the same time it was the government policy to be self -sufficient in milk by 2016 (Rajapaksha, 2005). After the media derogated the news about milk powder imported to Sri Lanka from foreign countries are contaminated with DCD and thereby revealing its potential hazardous implications
