Ulexite is a sodium calcium boron hydrate used in producing compounds. Its chemical formula is Na2O2CaO5B2O316H2O, and it superabounds in Turkey. One of the significant boron compounds derived from boron minerals is boric acid. The aim of this study is to produce boric acid in the wake of interaction of ulexite with hydrochloric acid solution, and offering an alternative process to producing boric acid by forming the mathematical model of this processing. Full factorial design method has been used in the study. Some of the parameters used in the process have been made steady, and the others have been accepted as variable factor in formation of mathematical model. Invariant parameters are granule size, reaction time and stirring speed. Hydrochloric acid concentration has been accepted as temperature and solid to liquid ratio variable factors for the formation of mathematical model. An attempt to understand the water quality of Michika towns and Environs was carried out under the water quality index (WQI). Physico-chemical parameters of 15 water samples collected from both Hand-dug wells and Boreholes were determined using standard procedures. The values of WQI have been affected by concentration of dissolved Ca++, Fe++, and Cl- in the water samples. The value ranges from 54.89 – 99.02 in the hand dug wells which indicate poor to very poor quality except Ghuzukwi. But all the value range for borehole sources indicates a good status with WQI range of 22.99 – 26.76. The quality of water sampled from well were not suitable for human consumption without proper treatment. Model average representations of each parameter for the area are also presented.
In this paper we presents the bit error rate (BER) performance of the Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) coded Long Term Evolution (LTE) system under various digital modulations (BPSK, QPSK and 16PSK) over an additative white gaussian noise (AWGN) and other multi path fading (Raleigh and Rician) channels. It is apparent from the Matlab based simulation study that the proposed LTE system outperforms with BPSK as compared to other modulation schemes under AWGN noisy and Rayleigh and Rician fading channels. The transmitted data is found to have retrieved effectively at the receiver end under the implementation of CRC coding/decoding algorithm. It has been also predictable that the performance of the CRC-based LTE system degrades with the increase of noise power. http://www.scirj.org/rp/items/show/78
