INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Fits: 2007-2012 GMC Acadia & Acadia Denali Kit Includes: (1) Wiring Harness with 4-Flat Connector (1) 48” 4-Flat Extension (20) 15” Cable Tie (1) 4-Flat Bracket (2) Adhesive Cable Tie Pad (3) #8 Self-Tapping Ground Screw Figure 2 9. Cut cable ties on 4-Flat portion of the RV harness and route down behind the taillight opening. 10. Mount a cable tie pad to inside of driver’s side rear bumper in an area that’s above the exhaust shown in Figure 3. Secure 4-Flat to cable tie pad with cable tie. Caution: Make sure to avoid areas that contain moving parts or could cut, pinch or burn the wires when routing the 4-flat harness towards the front of the vehicle. Also avoid routing harness near the fuel lines as it may cause the fuel to ignite. Failure to follow these warnings may cause property damage, personal injury or loss of life. RV TOW HARNESS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. Read instructions thoroughly before beginning. 2. Open the rear tailgate. Using a flat screwdriver remove the plastic caps that cover the screws that hold both taillight assemblies to vehicle. Using a 7mm socket remove the two screws that hold the taillights to vehicle. Gently pull taillight away from the vehicle and locate vehicle’s factory wiring harness connectors. Separate connectors from both sides and set aside shown in Figure 1. Inspect connectors for dirt and debris and clean if necessary. Figure 1 3. Starting on driver’s side position the RV harness with connectors containing Yellow wires between separated vehicle harness connectors. Press connectors firmly into vehicle connectors until they lock into place. Pull on connectors to ensure the locks are engaged. 4. Locate a clean and accessible mounting location on the vehicle near the RV harness ends within reach of white wire and ring terminal. Remove any debris or undercoating to expose a clean metal surface and drill a 3/32” hole. *Caution: Take care not to drill through the body or any exposed surface.* 5. Attach ring terminal on the White wire using the ground screw provided. 6. Route the remaining portion of the RV harness with connector ends containing the Green wire down through opening behind taillight. 7. Route a fish tape through bumper starting on passenger side over to driver side shown in Figure 2. Secure T-Connector ends containing Green wire to fish tape and pull to Passenger side through frame rail. 8. Using the fish tape route the portion of harness with T-Connector ends containing Green wire up through passenger side opening. Once T-Connector ends are routed into the taillight cavity repeat Step 3 for plugging.

INSTRUCTIONS: NOZZLES SET-UP RECOMMENDATION 1. The main line from the pump to the metering valve connects to the fitting at the top of the metering valve. 2. The Secondary By-Pass Valve connects to the brass fitting opposite the throttle arm on the side of the metering valve. There are no jets to change in this valve. 3. The Hi Speed By-Pass (Cut Off) Valve (not on all units) connects to a pump outlet and returns the fuel to the tank. Each change in the main jet size should be accompanied by a change in the spacers as follows: • For every .005 richer on the main by pass jet, add a 1/32" spacer. • For every .005 leaner on the main by pass jet, remove a 1/32" spacer. Choosing the proper fuel injector size is critical for the successful use of an electronic fuel injection system whether it be a TBI or Multi-port system. If an injector is too small, not enough fuel will be available when tuning an engine and damage can result. If an injector is selected that is much larger than is needed, the injector pulse width (time the injector is open) at idle may be too low and tuning problems at idle may occur. Use the following information as a guide for selecting the correct injectors for an engine: you don't want an injector to be open Formulas used to determine injector size: more than 90% of the time at the most. Fuel injected vehicles are becoming more and more common in the United States. All new gasoline-powered vehicles are equipped with some form of fuel injection system. A fuel injector delivers a controlled spray of gasoline into the intake manifold of the engine from where it is drawn into the cylinders by the action of the intake valves. The most popular arrangement is the multi-port fuel injection system, in which each cylinder is supplied by one injector. Less common is a throttle-body design where a single fuel injector supplies the intake manifold, which then feeds the cylinders. Fuel injection systems provide a controlled supply of fuel to the engine, improving engine efficiency and performance, while reducing emissions in modern three-way catalyst vehicles equipped with oxygen sensors. Certain grades of gasoline have been found to create deposits on the tips of the fuel injectors. These deposits can reduce the amount of fuel delivered by the injector, and they can also adversely affect the spray pattern from the injector nozzle, which is essential to optimum engine performance. Deposits are particularly troublesome with multi-port fuel injection systems. Usually some of the injectors will plug more than others, with the result that not all the cylinders will receive the same amount of fuel. The consequences are erratic engine performance, loss of power, “stumbling”, etc. These problems can occur with as little as 1,500 miles of driving Plugged fuel injectors are difficult to clean and require a higher concentration of detergents and dispersants than dirty carburetors and other fuel system components.

PING)))™ Ultrasonic Distance Sensor (#28015) The Parallax PING))) ultrasonic distance sensor provides precise, non-contact distance measurements from about 2 cm (0.8 inches) to 3 meters (3.3 yards). It is very easy to connect to BASIC Stamp® or Javelin Stamp microcontrollers, requiring only one I/O pin. The PING))) sensor works by transmitting an ultrasonic (well above human hearing range) burst and providing an output pulse that corresponds to the time required for the burst echo to return to the sensor. By measuring the echo pulse width the distance to target can easily be calculated. The PING))) sensor has a male 3-pin header used to supply power (5 VDC), ground, and signal. The header allows the sensor to be plugged into a solderless breadboard, or to be located remotely through the use of a standard servo extender cable (Parallax part #805-00002). Standard connections are show in the diagram to the right. Quick-Start Circuit This circuit allows you to quickly connect your PING))) sensor to a BASIC Stamp® 2 via the Board of Education® breadboard area. The PING))) module’s GND pin connects to Vss, the 5 V pin connects to Vdd, and the SIG pin connects to I/O pin P15. This circuit will work with the example program Ping_Demo.BS2 listed on page 7. Servo Cable and Port Cautions If you want to connect your PING))) sensor to a Board of Education using a servo extension cable, follow these steps: 1. When plugging the cable onto the PING))) sensor, connect Black to GND, Red to 5 V, and White to SIG. 2. Check to see if your Board of Education servo ports have a jumper, as shown at right. 3. If your Board of Education servo ports have a jumper, set it to Vdd as shown. 4. If your Board of Education servo ports do not have a jumper, do not use them with the PING))) sensor. These ports only provide Vin, not Vdd, and this may damage your PING))) sensor. Go to the next step. 5. Connect the servo cable directly to the breadboard with a 3-pin header. Then, use jumper wires to connect Black to Vss, Red to Vdd, and White to I/O pin P15.
