Variability of pollutant build-up parameters in different  land uses of Guwahati City, Assam, India

Urban stormwater runoff carries pollutants that collect on impervious surfaces such as oil, dirt, chemicals, and lawn fertilizers directly to receiving water bodies (surface water, seepage water and ground water), where they seriously harm water quality. This study investigated the variability of pollutant build-up parameters in five different land use types. For this purpose stormwater samples were collected from five different land use types; residential, commercial, recreational, heavy traffic and industrial, around Guwahati city, Assam (India) and analysed to measure different build-up parameter. It was found that distribution of stormwater pollutants is highly influenced by the surrounding land use type. Coefficient of variation (CV) is derived for each of the selected build-up parameters for the different land uses. Comparative Study of Level of Stress due to  Menstruation Cycle

The purpose of the study was to identify the level of Stress due to menstruation cycle among physically active and non-active females in DRC College, University of Delhi. The research pattern being used was descriptive survey research comparing chosen active and non-active females. The study was delimited to the age group 20 to 25 years. By applying simple random sampling a total of 100 females (50 active + 50 non active) were selected, the physically active group consist of females doing at least 2-4 hour daily physical activity besides the daily work, whereas the non-active group consist of females with no physical activity in the daily routine. The variable for the study was stress; Adrenal Stress Questionnaire developed by Dave Hompes was used for the collection of data. Computerized tomographic study of frontal sinus  patterns in skulls of South Indian Population

The frontal sinuses are a part of paranasal sinuses and they are located in the frontal bone above each orbits. The structure of frontal sinus can be variable from person to person and its sizes might be different in different populations. 50 macerated skulls(Males=28, Females=22) of age group 40-60 yrs are cleaned and subjected to 3D axial multislider CT scan. Axial and coronal images of slice thickness of 4mm were obtained.


Ulexite is a sodium calcium boron hydrate used in producing compounds. Its chemical formula is Na2O2CaO5B2O316H2O, and it superabounds in Turkey. One of the significant boron compounds derived from boron minerals is boric acid. The aim of this study is to produce boric acid in the wake of interaction of ulexite with hydrochloric acid solution, and offering an alternative process to producing boric acid by forming the mathematical model of this processing. Full factorial design method has been used in the study. Some of the parameters used in the process have been made steady, and the others have been accepted as variable factor in formation of mathematical model. ICT is a fast developing technology; its application typically involves the introduction or enhancement of systems or technology to meet a particular business need. An example of such application is the e-Payment system, a subset of e-Government that enables us to perform financial transactions electronically. A survey was conducted in the federal government of Nigeria’s Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to examine the gains and challenges of the e-Payment system commenced on January 1st, 2009. Non-parametric tests were used to establish the rank orders of gains from e-Payment and the challenges, based on median values for each variable, as well as the number of valid answers. The result revealed the most appreciated gains and most encountered challenges of the new system. The t-Test result for the gains of e-Payment shows that the mean number of positive response was significantly different (P < 0.01) from that of the negative response for each of the gains.
