In a persuasive letter, you state your opinion or your feelings about something that is important to you after you have introduced yourself. You must sound as professional and passionate as possible. You do not want to belittle the reader or they will not finish reading your letter. Your letter needs to have the facts, reasons, and examples to support your position. Remind the reader where they can contact you. Sincerely yours, Signature A. Student http://www.scholastic.com
Application Letter Format 80 Madison Lane #2E New York, NY 10002 (212) 555-5555 [Today’s date] Mr. Richard Spencer Assistant Vice President, Operations National Banking Corporation 280 Park Blvd., 10th Floor New York, NY 10022 Include your university, major, and year in school (or graduation date) in the first paragraph. Dear Mr. Spencer: I am interested in the Junior Systems Analyst position you listed on NYU CareerNet. As a senior at New York University majoring in Computer Science, I believe both my education and my experiences in computers are an excellent match with the responsibilities outlined in your job description. Many challenges exist with systems analysis at a large organization like the National Banking Corporation. These issues stem from both the constant upgrading required and the diversity of application needs. As the Computer Operation Faculty Liaison at NYU, I gained a wide range of experience in this type of environment. On several occasions, I advised university departments on their selection and set-up of LAN hardware and appropriate new software. Shows knowledge of the organization’s needs and the specific experience of the student to fulfill them. In addition to a strong technical base, I perform well both independently and as part of a team. I communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, as reflected with my experience working with student assistants and department directors on the above-mentioned projects. I would greatly appreciate the chance to work for the National Banking Corporation, and look forward to the possibility of meeting with you to discuss this position in further detail. In the meantime, I can be reached at (212) 555-5555 or you can e-mail me at email@example.com. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Always end by politely asking to meet in person, and provide your contact information. Your signature Norman Gates [DON’T COPY - BE ORIGINAL! ]

Cross-Country Mobility 4Motion all-wheel drive with high/low ratio; perfect for all kinds of terrain. 2 – The Amarok 4Motion all-wheel drive. Tough assignments call for efficient power management. Which is exactly what the Amarok delivers. With optimal 4Motion high/low all-wheel drive, the Amarok is able to distribute driving force equally across the front and rear axles. Additionally the Amarok’s heavy-duty leaf springs provide a high level of safety for a payload of up to one tonne, as well as enabling it to master rough terrain effortlessly. All it takes to experience traction on almost all road surfaces is the push of a button. 4x2 rear-wheel drive. The Amarok is equipped with rear-wheel drive as standard, perfect for the uses it was designed for. The rear-wheel drive format enables steering that is not influenced by the engine torque, resulting in a smaller steering radius. And because a vehicle’s weight is transferred to the back during acceleration, the Amarok’s default rear-wheel drive ensures optimal road contact.
The driving force behind the development of NoSQL databases is the need to rapidly store and manage ever larger, dynamically changing “Big Data” information sets. According to the Open Data Center Alliance (ODCA), Big Data can be defined as “massive amounts of data, the size and variety of which are beyond the processing capabilities of traditional data management tools to capture, manage and analyze in a timely manner”. The key challenges include capture, curation, storage, search, sharing, transfer, analysis and visualization. 1 Big Data is often characterized by the three “V”s of Volume, Variety, and Velocity; along with a fourth “V” referring to the Value that can be derived from the effective use of Big Data informational assets. IDC's market forecast shows that the worldwide Big Data technology and services market will grow at a 31.7% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) – about seven times the rate of the overall information and communication technology market – with Big Data revenues reaching $23.8 billion in 2016. NoSQL emerged as a means to satisfy new data format demands, in which data is no longer predominantly system generated, but rather user content emanating from multiple sources. This new phenomenon presents challenges for existing database systems, as the user generated data does not abide by any structure or model. With the popularity of social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter, not only is the data growing at unprecedented rates, but it also needs to be shared with greater frequency by a growing user base.
