Throughout this article I will address many basics of your vehicle’s steering, suspension, driveline, tires, and wheels. I did not intend this to be a “how to” manual with step by step instructions. This event was run by an organisation called ‘Writers Ink’ and was held in English. We would like to thank this group for very kindly including us. It was a lovely and interesting reading. Our president, Marianne Wandt and her husband Adalbert invited us to their home for the opening match of the Soccer World Cup in South Africa between Mexico and South Africa. A huge group of 40 people from the IWA-BS followed their invitation and watched the match on their very large TV. Marianne and Adalbert had put up tables and chairs outside and offered us a splendid selection of cakes followed by a BBQ in great style accompanied by drinks and salads. This really was a fantastic afternoon and evening that was enjoyed by everyone who attended. Our sincere thanks to them both for hosting this event and for inviting all of us to share this with them.

The CIES Football Observatory is a unique project initiated in 2005 by Drs Raffaele Poli and Loïc Ravenel under the name of the Professional Football Players Observatory (PFPO). Since 2011 it is one of the cornerstones of the broader CIES Sports Observatory project, dedicated to the statistical analysis of sport in all its diversity. Two annual reports are published for football. In January, the Demographic Study presents an in-depth analysis of club composition and player characteristics in 31 top division leagues of UEFA member countries. Nexgeneracers (NXG) give boys and girls an opportunity to learn about auto racing and have a “hands-on” experience in a supervised and controlled environment. We offer three class levels in our Lucas Oil/NXG Youth Motorsports Program scheduled from April to September. Most classes are conducted over the weekend. Each class serves up to 20 student participants in both on-track and classroom activities. Parents, family & friends are welcome and encouraged to attend as spectators on our competition Sundays. Class Levels Level 1 - Introduction to Motorsports: Provides an overview of the motorsports industry, racing terminology and go-kart driving instruction. Prerequisite: Proficient in 5th grade level math & English. For boys and girls 11-15 years of age. (No previous driving experience required.) Level 2 - Competitive Driving Techniques: Covers basic driving skills and go kart racing techniques. Tests individual performance and knowledge and includes racing competition.
