Possessing money from your country gives you the power to purchase goods and services produced (or assets held) by other residents of your country. But to purchase goods and services produced by the residents of another country generally first requires purchasing the other country’s currency. This is done by selling one’s own currency for the currency of the country with whose residents you desire to transact. More formally, one’s own currency has been used to buy foreign exchange, and in so doing the buyer has converted his purchasing power into the purchasing power of the seller’s country. The market for foreign exchange is the largest financial market in the world by virtually any standard. It is open somewhere in the world 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. The 2001 triennial central bank survey compiled by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) places worldwide daily trading of spot and forward foreign exchange at $1.2 trillion dollars per day. This is equivalent to nearly $200 in transactions for every person on earth. This, however, represents a 19 percent decrease over 1998. The decline is due to the introduction of the common euro currency, which eliminates the need to trade one euro zone currency for another to conduct business transactions, and to consolidation within the banking industry. London remains the world’s largest foreign exchange trading center. Objectives It is unknown if a relationship exists between multiple sclerosis and chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency and if this venous pathology is a causal factor for multiple sclerosis or is a product of a neurological disease. Even so, one should expect that if multiple sclerosis were the cause for venous lesions, then patients with an extended history of the disease would present with a more severe venous pathology. Design Retrospective analysis of catheter venography of the azygous and internal jugular veins, and duration of clinical history of the disease in multiple sclerosis patients. Penelitian tentang Pemanfaatan Koleksi Buku Teks Pelajaran Pada Perpustakaan Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Yogyakarta III Sebagai Sumber Belajar Siswa Kelas XI Tahun Ajaran 2008/2009 bertujuan untuk mengetahui Bagaimana tingkat pemanfaatan buku teks pada perpustakaan MAN Yogyakarta III, alasan siswa menggunakan koleksi Buku Teks dan Buku Teks mata pelajaran apa yang sering digunakan siswa berdasarkan jurusanya, penelitian ini menitik beratkan pada kebutuhan, motif, minat siswa menggunakan buku teks pelajaran, selain itu kelengkapan koleksi, keterampilan pustakawan serta ketersediaan fasilitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian populasi sehingga tidak memerlukan sampel dalam pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas instrumen yang digunakan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Dokumentasi, wawancara, angket dan observasi. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah analisa deskriptif kuantitatif yang disajikan dalam bentuk tabel distribusi frekuensi dan prosentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan mayoritas siswa memanfaatkan buku teks pelajaran dengan baik sebanyak 54,4%. Sedangkan alasan siswa menggunakan buku teks pelajaran dapat dilihat dari faktor internal dan faktor eksternal, dalam fakor internal terdiri dari kebutuhan, minat, dan motif. Sedangkan faktor eksternalnya kelengkapan koleksi, keterampilan pustakawan dan ketersediaan fasilitas. Dilihat dari faktor kebutuhan mayoritas siswa menyatakan kebutuhannya sedang (48,7%), dilihat dari motifnya mayoritas siswa menyatakan motifnya sedang (38,0%), sedangkan dari minat mayoritas siswa menyatakan minatnya tinggi (42,4%). Faktor eksternal dilihat dari kelengkapan koleksinya mayoritas siswa menyatakan koleksinya lengkap (51,3%), dari keterampilan pustakawan mayoritas siswa menyatakan terampil (49,4%), sedangkan ketersediaan fasilitas penelusuran mayoritas siswa menyatakan tersedia (40,5%). Koleksi yang sering dibaca siswa IPA adalah mata pelajaran Biologi (52,0%) sedangkan yang sering dibaca juga mata pelajaran Biologi (48,0%). Pada siswa IPS buku yang sering dibaca adalah Akuntansi (35,2%), sedangkan yang sering dipinjam juga Akuntansi (43,5%). Kesimpulan akhir penelitian ini adalah bahwa pada umumnya pemanfaatan koleksi buku teks pelajaran pada perpustakaan MAN Yogyakarta III telah dimanfaatkan dengan baik sebagai sumber belajar siswa, baik itu untuk mengerjakan tugas dari guru maupun untuk mengerjakan tugas rumah. Namun agar siswa lebih memanfaatkan buku teks maka koleksi perpustakaan perlu ditambah lagi dengan koleksi-koleksi yang baru agar siswa tidak ketinggalan informasi. Panduan Penulisan Buku Panduan ini merupakan petunjuk penulisan buku pelajaran (ilmiah populer) yang digunakan untuk menentukan kelayakan naskah bagi penerbit. Panduan ini membahas pengertian buku pelajaran & diktat, tujuan penulisan buku pelajaran, isi buku pelajaran, sampul buku, bagian pembuka, bagian utama dan bagian penutup serta ketentuan jumlah halaman. Buku Pelajaran (Text book) & Diktat Buku pelajaran adalah bahan/materi pelajaran yang dituangkan secara tertulis dalam bentuk buku dan digunakan sebagai bahan pelajaran (sumber informasi) sebuah mata kuliah bagi mahasiswa dan pengajar susuai dengan kebutuhan lapangan/industry dan tuntutan perkembangan teknologi dan atau kurikulum. Diktat adalah catatan tertulis suatu bidang studi yang disiapkan oleh guru/dosen untuk mempermudah pengayaan materi pelajaran atau bidang studi yang dibahas dalam proses pembelajaran (Ilvandri, 2011). Diktat yang baik merupakan draft buku ajar yang belum diterbitkan. Tujuan penulisan buku pelajaran a. Mendorong penulis untuk meng-update ilmunya sesuai dengan kriteria tuntutan buku layak terbit mencakup subdstansi, bahasa dan potensi pasar. d. Mendukung penulis untuk menerbitkan buku bila belum terbit. Isi Buku Pelajaran Isi buku pelajaran berupa teori, konsep, formula atau aturan terkini dilengkapi dengan contoh-contoh masalah atau studi kasus serta solusinya. Isi buku harus orsinil dengan merujuk dari berbagai sumber. Informasi tepat, dapat dipercaya dan dipertanggungjawabkan kepada pembaca dan semua pihak terkait. Isi tersusun dengan baik atau dengan alur informasi yang mudah dipahami. Buku pelajaran dan diktat yang baik memenuhi tiga aspek pendidikan yaitu ilmu pengetahuan (knowledge), keterampilan (skills) dan sikap atau perilaku (attitude).
