Installation Guide for the 36-EBU and 42-EBU Electric Fireplace

NOTE: Power ratings shown include the light bulbs and motor (275 watts) STEP-BY-STEP INSTALLATION (Note: Please read all instructions before installing) 1. Rough in framing opening following the recommended dimensions (Section A: Framing). 2. Allow 8” of service cable for connecting to the junction box on the fireplace. Remove the outer jacket and strip the individual conductors ½” from the end. 3. Loosen the screw securing junction box cover and remove the cover. 4. Remove knockouts if necessary or use the provided cable clamp. 5. Place unit in position in the opening, level with shims if necessary and attach unit to frame using nailing flanges provided. 6. Unit is factory wired for 208/240 volt power supply. If 120 volt operation is required, slide the switch and reconfigure the wiring as covered in section C wiring. Wires L1, L2, N & G are attached to the rear of the junction box cable clamp for easy access. 7. Wire a dedicated, properly fused circuit with a 20amp rating for the appropriate voltage (120, 208/240). 8. Make wall mounted thermostat connections as outlined in Section C: Wiring. 9. Place all connectors inside the unit and replace the junction box cover, ensuring that the cable clamp grips only the jacket of service or thermostat. 266-950 5/03 SECTION A: FRAMING EBU Dimensions

IBM WebSphere Application Server V8.5 Java 7 © 2012 IBM Corporation This presentation covers using Java 7 with IBM WebSphere Application Server version 8.5. WAS85_Java7_revisions_IEA.ppt Page 1 of 11 Table of contents Overview Installation Developer configuration scenario Administrator configuration scenario Soft real-time configuration scenario References 2 Java 7 © 2012 IBM Corporation This module will cover the topics listed here. WAS85_Java7_revisions_IEA.ppt Page 2 of 11 Overview of Java selection Supports selection of which bit architecture to use – z/OS: 31 or 64 bit – IBM i: 32 or 64 bit – Distributed: only selectable during first install Supports selection of Java version to use – Java 6 – Java 7 (including soft real-time capabilities) Only supports WebSphere provided SDKs Configure SDK used by command line scripts Configure SDK used by servers, proxy servers, and application clients – Configure existing servers, nodes, profiles, or installation – Configure defaults for new servers, nodes, and profiles 3 Java 7 © 2012 IBM Corporation Java 7 is optionally supported by the product. In fact, the product supports several different Software Development Kits or SDKs. Extensions in WebSphere Application Server version 8.0 provided support for selecting a Java SDK by bit architecture at any time. The z/OS platform allows selection of 31 or 64 bit SDKs. The IBM i platform allows selection of 32 or 64 bit SDKs. However, the distributed platform only allows the bit architecture to be selected during installation of the product and not at any point after that. Once the bit architecture choice has been made, only those SDKs that support that bit architecture are available for selection. WebSphere Application Server version 8.5 adds Java version selection to the choice and bit architecture. The product comes with Java 6 as the default Java SDK. Java 7 can be added at any point in time to the installation, thereby adding Java 7 SDK selection to the possible choices of Java SDK that can be used. Java 7 also includes support for soft realtime capabilities, which are discussed later in the module. In general, the product only supports Java SDK selection of WebSphere approved or provided SDKs. However, the Liberty Profile does support use other SDKs. See the Liberty documentation and education material for how to use other non-product provided...

JAVA Issues with DTS Logins EFENSE RAVEL

Background The web browser uses Oracle’s Java software to launch the Gradkell Systems Universal WebSigner JAVA applet, which enables your Common Access Card (CAC) to access DTS. Due to increased security within JAVA, outdated versions of JAVA will be unable to launch the Universal WebSigner applet (as well as many other applets for other websites) without lowering JAVA’s security. Check with your organization’s IT office for specific guidance. The Travel Assistance Center offers two potential workarounds, if applicable. Workarounds First, check the version installed on your workstation. Go to Control Panel, Java, and click the “About” button. The version will be displayed. Workstations using older versions of Java 7 (usually update 25) have two options. • Option 1: Upgrade to the latest version of JAVA from www.java.com. o Workstations using the latest version of JAVA will continually get error messages about whether to let the DBsign Universal WebSigner applet run but will be allowed to login to DTS. o Pay close attention to the warnings that appear and answer accordingly so the DBsign Universal WebSigner is not blocked and allowed to run. Depending on your operating system and version of Internet Explorer, the error messages may vary (see figure below.)
