This research concerns the poor service quality of subsidized fossil fuel in Indonesia that has not yet met public expectations. On the other hand, the spirit of good governance requires the involvement of third party actors (non government) to respond to public issues. To address this requirement, good governance should be promoted in all development aspects, including subsidized fossil fuel services run by Badan Pengatur Hilir Minyak dan Gas Bumi - the State Downstream Oil and Gas Regulator (BPH Migas). This research aims to analyze the effect of BPH Migas leadership, coordination and supervision and public participation on the service quality of subsidized diesel fuel in North Jakarta. Today no hospital is complete without x-ray equipment although extensive use of this equipment gives rise to radiation doses that are usually well controlled, but in extreme cases, patients and occupationally exposed persons have been injured by this radiation. Therefore, only proper shielding design of an x-ray room can ascertain the safety of human health.
MGPSSR is a clan organization based on kinship and lineage. It comprises individuals and families of the descendants of the Sapta Rsi, seven venerated sages in ancient Bali. Initially, it was established to plan and supervise the construction and renovation of temples related to the seven sages. It was established in 1952 and enters its 61 years this year. One interesting phenomenon about the organization is its ability to carry out its missions for years without suffering any problem related to its financial accountability. The purpose of this research is finding out and understanding the accountability practices of this organization. The research used the ethnomethodology approach, which focused on methods and ways the MGPSSR carries out its accountability practices. Data were acquired through interviews, archival and documentation study, as well as observation. The interview was carried out with the organization’s executives and members, and members of the general public.
Scavengers working on dumpsite are often engagedin various health risk behaviour as a result of working conditions with solid waste. The study examines personality traits, self-efficacy and health anxiety as predictors ofhealth risk behaviouramong scavengers. For personality traits, widely accepted Big Five was utilized as indicators; the Big Five dimensions were openness to experience, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. Personal safety, violence related behaviour, suicide and sexual behaviour were utilized for health risk behaviour.
Growers need to be creative in identifying techniques to monitor and understand planting material variation within and between blocks. Being creative does not necessarily mean being complicated. The Block Efficiency Indicator (BEI) is a simple, reliable and repeatable concept that fills a management gap allowing growers to identify which of five variables are influencing block-planting material efficiency, positively or negatively. BEI is a percentage calculation compiled by dividing actual values by theoretical values for planting density, yield, bunch weight, frond production, and block sex ratio. When actual values equal theoretical values, BEI is 100 and block-planting material is achieving its expected commercial potential. A reduction in average frond rate from 17 to 15 fronds/yr for example produces a BEI of 77.9, while a reduction in block sex ratio from 0.7 to 0.6 produces a BEI of 73.5, equivalent to a loss of 16 and 19 palms/ha respectively.
The study was designed to evaluate the anti anemic effect of aqueous extract of Pterocarpus erinaceus stem bark in phenylhydrazine induced anemia in albino rats. The extract was also tested for safety. Acute toxicity studies revealed that values up to 5 g/kg body weight did not produced any visible effect. The dosages 250 and 500 mg/kg body weight fed the rats in this study were quite safe. Anemia was induced by administration of 80 mg/kg body weight of phenylhydrazine to the rats. The anemic rats were treated orally with 250 and 500 mg/kg body weight of aqueous extract of Pterocarpus erinaceus stem bark for fourteen days. Oral administration of 250 mg/kg body weight of aqueous extract to anemic rats significantly increased (P< 0.05) serum level of hematological parameters PCV from 40.15 to 54.15, Hb from 11.95 to 13.60, there were significant improvements in RBC, WBC, Neutrophil, Lymphocytes, Platelets, MCV, MCH, and MCHC of the treated rats when compared to the control.
In this paper we presents the bit error rate (BER) performance of the Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) coded Long Term Evolution (LTE) system under various digital modulations (BPSK, QPSK and 16PSK) over an additative white gaussian noise (AWGN) and other multi path fading (Raleigh and Rician) channels. It is apparent from the Matlab based simulation study that the proposed LTE system outperforms with BPSK as compared to other modulation schemes under AWGN noisy and Rayleigh and Rician fading channels. The transmitted data is found to have retrieved effectively at the receiver end under the implementation of CRC coding/decoding algorithm.
