The iPod interface can be used to connect an iPod to your in-car infotainment system and allows you to play audio files directly over the infotainment system. The iPod interface is located in your car's glove box. It is compatible with 3rd generation or higher iPod1) devices (made from about 2003 onwards), with the exception of the iPod Shuffle and the iPhone. The iPod is controlled using the CD function of the infotainment system (sound system or navigation system). The infotainment system allocates the playlists on the iPod first in numerical order and then in alphabetical order, as follows: • Chorus / concert sound system, Navigation System BNS 5.0: allocation as CD 1 to CD 5 • Symphony sound system: allocation as CD 7 to CD 11 The easiest way to use playlists on the car's entertainment system is to create five playlists on the iPod (e.g. 1 to 5). All the tracks on the iPod will be played as follows even if they are stored in different playlists: • Chorus / concert sound system, Navigation System BNS 5.0: via CD 6 • Symphony sound system: via CD 12 Information stored on the iPod, such as artist, track, album and genre, or the name of a playlist, does not appear on the infotainment system display. 1) iPod is a registered trademark of Apple Computer Inc. WARNING • Today's driving conditions require your full attention. As the driver, you have full responsibility for the safety of the vehicle and other road users. For this reason, operate the iPod only when the traffic conditions allow you to do so safely and when you can maintain proper control of your vehicle - risk of accident! • The volume of the audio sources (radio, CD player, etc.) should only be set at a level which enables you to hear distant police and emergency vehicles clearly - failure to do so could result in an accident. Caution Very high or very low temperatures (a common occurrence in a car's interior) can cause damage to the iPod and/or impair its performance. • Please do not leave your iPod in the vehicle in case of extreme temperatures. Note Please refer to the iPod operating instructions for important information on how to use your iPod.

As the result of an accident or illness, or because of old age, some people are no longer in a position to take care of important matters themselves. They need someone who can represent their interests and rights in dealings with doctors, for example, or public offices and officials. The basic principles of legal guardianship are explained in this advice brochure, and the duties and rights of the care-taking guardians described in some detail. You see, German guardianship law is complicated. And not all advice centres and facilities are adjusted to persons with a migration background. Migrants often don’t know which options they actually have, the main reason being that they are not familiar with German guardianship law. Then again, it’s difficult for them to understand the often rather complex legal regulations because their German language skills aren’t so good. This brochure is intended to be both a source of advice and a guide. It takes cultural differences into consideration, and tries to help you to understand the complicated system of German guardianship law. After all, as far as matters of your personal wealth and welfare are concerned, nobody can fulfil expectations better than you yourself. Which is why everyone should have the chance to check whether precautionary measures should be taken in good times – for bad times – if, indeed, guardianship is necessary at some point. As well as an illustration of the legal basics, the brochure also contains a detailed description of types of precautionary options, in the shape of advance directives on guardianship, living wills and powers of attorney. Moreover, it contains a list of the regional drop-in centres, like guardianship authorities and associations, which offer advice and support. The brochure is published in several languages so that migrants have access to all the information. Our thanks go to the Institute for Transcultural Support for developing and publishing this brochure, which bears in mind the growing need for legal support of persons with a migration background.
The CIES Football Observatory is a unique project initiated in 2005 by Drs Raffaele Poli and Loïc Ravenel under the name of the Professional Football Players Observatory (PFPO). Since 2011 it is one of the cornerstones of the broader CIES Sports Observatory project, dedicated to the statistical analysis of sport in all its diversity. Two annual reports are published for football. In January, the Demographic Study presents an in-depth analysis of club composition and player characteristics in 31 top division leagues of UEFA member countries. In June, the Annual Review analyses clubs and players in the big-5 European leagues from a demographic, economic and pitch performance perspective. Methodological rigour coupled with a deep knowledge of football guarantee high quality analyses at competitive rates.
