With perfect form, fit and function demanded by today’s technicians for both import and domestic applications, all BWD fuel injectors meet or exceed OE specifications for peak operating performance and extended service life What does a Fuel Injector do? The Fuel Injector is an electronically controlled valve that is supplied with ressurized fuel by the fuel pump and when p energized atomizes the fuel into a fine mist so that it can burn easily by the vehicle’s engine. Where are Fuel Injectors located? The fuel injector is mounted in the intake manifold so that fuel is sprayed directly at the intake valves. A fuel supply rail connects all of the fuel injectors to the fuel supply. Will a malfunctioning Fuel Injector illuminate the check engine light or affect vehicle operation? A failing sensor can illuminate the MIL and cause the engine to run too rich or lean, leading to misfire and loss of power. What are the common causes of failure? Improper fuel filter maintenance can cause the injector to clog with debris. Poor quality fuel often results in deposits on the fuel injector disrupting the fuel spray pattern.

The design of the All Digital FM Receiver circuit in this project uses Phase Locked Loop (PLL) as the main core. The task of the PLL is to maintain coherence between the input (modulated) signal frequency, ωi and the respective output frequency, ωo via phase comparison. This self-correcting ability of the system also allows the PLL to track the frequency changes of the input signal once it is locked. Frequency modulated input signal is assumed as a series of numerical values (digital signal) via 8-bit of analog to digital conversion (ADC) circuit. The FM Receiver gets the 8 bit signal every clock cycle and outputs the demodulated signal. The All Digital FM Receiver circuit is designed using VHDL, then simulated and synthesized using ModelSim SE 6 simulator and Xilinx ISE 6.3i, respectively. FPGA implementation also provided, here we use Virtex2 device. The real measurement is done using ChipScope Pro 6.3i. The system of All Digital FM Receiver consists of a digital PLL cascaded with digital low pass filter. The block diagram of system is shown in Fig. 1.

4 to 6 quarts of high-quality motor oil. Check your vehicle's owner's manual for the proper SAE viscosity, API performance or manufacturer motor oil specification and specific quantity required for your engine. Find more information by reading How to choose the right oil. A new oil filter. Most vehicles use a "spin-on" oil filter available in various shapes and sizes. Check your vehicle's owner's manual for the size and type appropriate for your vehicle. A drain plug socket wrench or open-end wrench (the exact size to fit your drain plug) An oil filter wrench A large drain pan (that can hold at least 5 to 7 quarts of fluid) A funnel A rag Hand cleaning solution and/or disposable latex gloves Safety glasses
How to change the oil and filter on a KTM LC4 Revised on 10-26 This guide pertains to the following models: Adventure, SMC, Duke II & LC4E and is intended for the beginner. Some of the “tricks” described may be advantageous to the more seasoned owner. By no means is this guide to be construed as the “best” or only way to do this job. It is simply the way that works for me. Read it at your own peril. If you have read the previously posted valve inspect/adjust guide, you already know I'm a big fan of a clean and tranquil work space. No pets, wife, kids, gerbils... whatever. Drifty likes to play his laid back blues music, ... but if Godsmack relaxes and focuses your mind... Crank it! Successful wrenching is good mental therapy... Tool list This list is for the ’03 and later 640 Adventure. There appear to be a number of fastener and plug variations for prior years. The most notable differences are the switch from “outside” to “inside” frame drain locations; the size of frame filler plug and the change from a cartridge filter cover oring to a gasket. Revison 10-26-04 After input from Rad, rapiti, Markjenn and dirtrider... we have come to the conclusion that KTM if fond of making running changes in production without updating reference material. As far as I can tell, in mid '01 KTM switched from the o-ring cartridge filter cover to a gasketed cover. The lower right frame section, unless someone has more accurate data, remained a oval tube until, as far as we can tell... mid '02, at which time the section was replace with a "low profile" casting, making filter cover access considerably easier. So, if you have a early '02 or earlier it will have oval tube... a late '02 or later will have the flat casting. With input from valued members, we will attempt to cover variations as they arrise, if someone runs into something important, let me know ...
(based on a 2005 model) by tensman1 Preparing the motorcycle: 1. To start, level the motorcycle – my preference is to put a spacer blocks under the kickstand on the left side of the motorcycle and under the frame on the right side of the bike just under the frame member. These blocks are made from scrap lumber. 6” I find it is easier to set the right side block first as shown and tilt the motorcycle until the frame contacts the block, then, holding the handlebars, kick the left side block under the kickstand. 2 7/8”” NOTE: This dimension may not be correct for 2004 models as the 2005 models have a different kickstand – the 2004 model will likely be thicker. To be sure your blocks are the correct thickness the first time, lay a level across the luggage rack as shown. You may need to shim them slightly to hold the bike dead level. Or, in the absence of a luggage rack, the seat will do: 2. Get the necessary tools ready: Small funnel Oil filter wrench – I like the band type shown, but a metal strap type will work. 14 mm box wrench h And, of course, some sort of container that will catch about 6 quarts of oil – I’d use a container to hold about 10 quarts. I use the same drain pan for my truck. And, of course, at least 6 quarts of oil and a filter. I prefer to use KawChem 10w-40 and Kaw filters. I usually buy my oil in gallon containers, makes filling quicker. 3. Locate the drain points:...
