This research does not have to be extensive but it shows that you have taken some time to think about this position and put some effort into this letter. This makes a very good impression on employers. It shows that this is not a form letter where only the address and contact name is changed for each position. Paragraph 4: State that you would welcome a personal interview to further discuss this opportunity. If you need to explain anything out of the ordinary on your resume, this is the place to do it. You might mention that if you do not hear anything from the potential employer in two to three weeks time that you will call to follow up this letter to see where they are in their process. Cover letters introduce your resume to prospective employers. Can you get away with submitting a resume without a cover letter? NO. Leaving out the cover letter shows a lack of professionalism and seriously weakens your application. A cover letter serves to: 1) direct your resume to the appropriate individual(s), 2) personalize the summary of your qualifications for the position, and 3) further persuade, assert, and declaim the strengths you can bring to the job and the company. Don’t be fooled. Cover letters are NOT easy to write. No matter how much experience you have, it is difficult to write about yourself without making it sound “cheesy” or artificial. Be prepared to write several drafts before you have something you can send. Ask for feedback from others and carefully proofread it for typos and errors. Cover letters should be specific for each job to which you apply; you can write a general letter for a large mailing, but individualized cover letters are far more effective. At larger organizations you may need to submit more than one cover letter and resume; for example, it may be necessary to send your letter and resume to the Human Resources Department as well as the head of the department for which you wish to work. In these instances, it is acceptable to provide a cc (courtesy copy) to the secondary department (typically HR). ADDRESSEE: Avoid “To Whom It May Concern.” Address your cover letter as specifically as possible, or it may end up in the trash. Ideally, you should determine the name (and spelling) of the appropriate contact person so that you can address your salutation correctly. (Don’t assume the gender: there are women named Michael and men named Leslie.) CONSTRUCTION: Begin all your paragraphs with clear topic sentences, then use examples to support your statement. No sentence should be longer than twenty words, and avoid words that a reader might have to look up. In other words, do not obfuscate, pontificate, or abstrusify. Konvensi merupakan salah satu cara menjaring calon presiden diyakini sebagai metode yang lebih demokratis. Salah satunya adalah Konvensi yang dilakukan oleh Partai Demokrat. Konvensi ini selain memiliki kelebihan, antara lain untuk menghapuskan sistem oligarki partai, juga memiliki beberapa kelemahan, antara lain ketidak-laziman dalam mengundang kader atau kandidat dari luar Partai Demokrat. Ini menunjukkan bahwa Partai Demokrat tidak optimal dalam melakukan kaderisasi dalam tubuh partainya sendiri, sehingga perlu orang-orang dari luar partai untuk menjadi Calon Presiden 2014. ditetapkan menjadi Ketua Umum Partai Demokrat. Setelah menjabat Sebagai Ketua umum SBY memang terlihat terus berekspresi untuk “mendongkrak” suara Partai Demokrat pada Pemilu 2014 mendatang, yang salah satunya adalah mengadakan Konvensi Capres. SBY sengaja membuka konvensi capres, untuk memancing tokoh-tokoh kuat di luar parpol agar bergabung bersama Partai Demokrat. Pengurus Partai Demokrat sudah berperan dalam meningkatkan partisipasi politik masyarakat melalui pendidikan politik dan sosialisasi politik. Peran pengurus Partai Demokrat dalam meningkatkan partisipasi politik masyarakat ialah sebagai partai yang nasionalis-religius, yaitu kerja keras untuk kepentingan rakyat dengan landasan moral dan memperhatikan aspek humanisme, nasionalisme, dan pluralisme dalam rangka mencapai tujuan perdamaian, demokrasi, dan kesejahteraan rakyat. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan setelah memperoleh data berdasarkan jawaban responden, bahwa ternyata memang pendidikan politik, sosialisasi politik dan aksi paling menyentuh hati masyarakat itu harus dilakukan seperti kepedulian partai untuk memperjuangkan kepentingan masyarakat ini sangat bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan partisipasi politik masyarakat. Hal ini dilakukan pada saat kegiatan partai seperti penyuluhan, seminar, dialog dan lain-lain agar rakyat mengerti tentang keadaan berpolitik pada saat sekarang ini dan ikut berpartisipasi. Adapun keterlibatan masyarakat dalam kaderisasi adalah Partai Demokrat membuka dan memberi kesempatan sebesar-besarnya kepada masyarakat agar bersedia mencalonkan tokoh-tokoh untuk masuk dalam salah satu gabungan kandidat peserta pemilihan umum. Selain itu penelitian ini juga membuktikan bahwa mereka pernah melakukan pendidikan politik, sosialisasi politik dan memperjuangkan kepentingan masyarakat dengan tujuan meningkatkan partisipasi politik masyarakat walaupun melalui perlombaan Koor Gerejawi bagi umat Kristen, lomba baca al-quran dan sejenisnya bagi umat muslim, mengadakan pasar murah, kampanye, dan membantu masyarakat dalam pengurusan KTP dan lain-lain. Hal ini terlihat dari jawaban-jawaban responden yang menyatakan bahwa melalui pendidikan politik, sosialisasi politik itu perlu ditingkatkan agar rakyat tidak terjadi pembodohan politik serta ikut berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan politik. Untuk itu pengurus harus selalu mengadakan pendidikan politik, sosialisasi politik dan peduli akan keadaan masyarakat, maka melalui peran partai tersebut masyarakat akan menjadi pemilih yang cerdas dalam pemilu dan menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri atau mendewasakan perpolitikan di seluruh lapisan masyarakat melalui sosialisasi politik, diskusi, seminar, media massa, maupun secara langsung dilapangan oleh Partai Demokrat. ...
