iPhone 5 Superguide - Macworld
by sleman 0 Comments favorite 4 Viewed Download 0 Times

It’s hard to believe that it’s been just over half a decade since Apple announced the original iPhone. In that timespan, we’ve seen the mobile phone market twist itself inside out: Oleophobic touchscreens replaced miniature keyboards, lavish 3D worlds rivaling desktop game consoles overtook basic games like Snake, and cellular data—once a luxury—became the standard. We do so many things with our phones these days that it’s sometimes hard to fathom how far we’ve come. The iPhone 5 is the result of these developments in the last few years, and it’s stunning. It’s as speedy as a full-fledged computer, Apple has extended its screen size without making the device unwieldy, and it sports a gorgeous 8-megapixel camera. But if you look past all these improvements, you’ll see the same essential product that Steve Jobs unveiled in 2007. The iPhone still runs iOS, it still has just four buttons and a toggle switch, and its candybar shape still fits perfectly in your hand. Whether this is your fifth iPhone or your first, we want you to love your device. And that means putting your faith in it and in its software. Our iPhone 5 Superguide aims to answer your lingering questions. We detail how to set up your new iPhone and turn on iCloud and automatic backups, and we provide some nice starting tips. We also help you get to know iOS, Apple’s mobile operating system; walk you through each of your installed applications, along with how-tos and customization; and introduce you to some of the many great third-party apps out there. And if you run into problems, our troubleshooting guide should put you on the right track in no time. What you do with your iPhone from there—well, that’s entirely up to you. —Serenity Caldwell Boston, December 2012

1980 Mazda RX-7 Wiring Diagram - Foxed.ca

This document is brought to you through the kind services of Kevin Wright krwright@wankel.net http://www.wankel.net/~krwright who laboriously scanned, post-processed, Distilled, and organized the original 1980 (1979 printing) wiring diagram provided by Stu Aull (Thanks!). There are several ways to get around in the document. I have provided Bookmarks to all the sections and subsections, and thumbnails are also provided in the Thumbnails side bar. Only a few of the pages in the original document were of the fold-out variety, and only one really needs to be split into multiple documents. This page has been provided in full sheet and segmented versions, as indicated in the Bookmarks. These pages probably should be printed out on 11” x 17” paper if available, but are still readable on 8.5” x 11” paper. You could also print out the segmented versions and attach them together, if so desired (or not. Whatever you want, eh?) I have also included a label for the spine of a binder, for those who wish to print out all the pages and keep a dead-tree edition handy. J The original document is © 1979 Toyo Kogyo Co., Ltd., and remains so. This version is provided as a service for owners of first generation Mazda RX-7s who are having a devil of a time locating the factory wiring guide for a reasonable price. If you really want to send me money, email me and I’ll tell you where to send it, but it’s not necessary. Consider this payback for all the good advice and information gleaned from the various RX-7 email lists! Subscribe to the Early Mazda Rotaries email list:...

Excel 2010: Basics Learning Guide

Excel 2010: Basics Learning Guide Exploring Excel 2010 At first glance, Excel 2010 is largely the same as before. This guide will help clarify the new changes put into Excel 2010. The File Button The purple File button, located in the top left corner of your screen, replaces the Office button found in Excel 2007. The File button allows you to carry out the same functions as the old Office button, albeit in a more condensed form. In what Microsoft has deemed the ―Backstage‖ view, the File button now visualizes more hidden information about a file than before. Printing Discussed in detail on page XX, Excel 2010 eliminates the Print Preview button and integrates it into the Print section of the File button. 1 Copying and Pasting Discussed in more detail on page 7, Excel 2010 allows you to select if you would like to cut, copy, and paste the formatting of cell contents, cell formulas, links to a particular cell, etc., should you so choose. The default copy and paste copies everything about a cell (formulas, values, formatting, etc.) into another cell, as usual. Protected View In an effort to increase Office 2010’s security, Microsoft has instituted this feature across all its products. Documents that are opened from an ―untrusted‖ source (i.e., a spreadsheet downloaded from Gmail or opened from Outlook) will appear in so-called Protected Mode. In Protected Mode, you cannot edit, print, or save files to your computer Sparklines Sparklines are the newest feature of Excel 2010, and are essentially minicharts that fit within a cell and give a miniaturized graphical interpretation of data. Sparklines are fully explained in a separate tutorial, located here. {image – sparkline} 2 The Quick Access Toolbar The Quick Access toolbar, which used to be located to the right of the Office button, is now directly above the File button. By default, it contains the three most frequently used buttons: Save, Undo, and Redo. The Quick Access toolbar You can customize the Quick Access toolbar and add any button that you frequently use. To add any button to the Quick Access toolbar:  Click on the downward-facing arrow with a bar on top of it.  From the menu that appears, select what you would like to add to the Quick Access toolbar.
