It provides a suitable control algorithm for a pulse width modulation rectifier which reduces ripple from the DC output side as well as shapes the input current properly. This paper proposes a coordinated control of rotor side converters (RSCs) and grid side converters (GSCs) of variable speed doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind generation systems under unbalanced voltage conditions. The control scheme uses stator flux-oriented control for the rotor side converter and grid voltage vector control for the grid side converter. System behaviours and operations of the RSC and GSC under unbalanced voltage are illustrated. A Miniaturized Ultra Wideband (UWB) Antenna Design  for Wireless Communications

This paper presents a miniaturized planar circular disc UWB antenna design for wireless communications. Printed on a dielectric substrate and fed by 50Ω microstrip line with truncated ground plane, the proposed antenna has been demonstrated to provide an ultra wide 10dB return loss bandwidth with satisfactory radiation properties. The special structure reduces the spatial volume and it is used to realize the miniaturization of the antenna. Ansoft High Frequency structure Simulator (HFSS) software tool has been employed for obtaining the simulation results. The return loss, voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), radiation patterns and current distributions of the antenna are discussed.

Male involvement and utilization of maternal health  services in India

The present paper examines the association between the men‟s knowledge regarding the maternal health service utilization and maternal health in India using data from National Family Health Survey 2005-06. The indicator of maternal health used in the analysis is safe delivery. Binary and multinomial logistic regression are used established the said association. Males involvement coded into two ways and two categories viz father present at the time of ANC visit or not, and whether at any time during the pregnancy any health provider or health worker told them about the various sign of pregnancy complications or not. The other independent variables used in this analysis are age, children ever born, work status of the women, education of the women, religion and caste. The findings clearly suggest that male involvement and their knowledge about maternal health significantly associated with the maternal health. Design of 800 MHz to 1.5 GHz Voltage Controlled  Oscillator for Data Communication

High frequency variable oscillator is central to the construction of high speed clock for data communication. A very wide variable frequency oscillation is designed that could be used in data communication for reliable and fast data transmission. A voltage controlled oscillator in Colpitt configuration is used in the design. The design is found to be capable of producing frequencies from 800MHz to 1.5GHz for a reverse biased voltage (VR) of 0 to 25V while maintaining a good tuning flatness throughout the range. The design is found to be free from noise and frequency variations over the tuning range.

An Improved VCO Design with Negative Feedback to  Reduce Jitter at High Frequencies

This paper presents an improved design of voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) utilizing the three differential cell CMOS inverters for forming the ring oscillator. The differential cell reduces the power supply fluctuations impact on the oscillator jitter while the negative feedback from frequency to voltage converter reduces the jitter at high frequencies. Finally the proposed model is designed using CMOS 0.18um foundry technology and simulated using P-Spice software. The result shows that the proposed design improves the jitter attenuation at different offset frequencies up to 40dB

Capsicum annum L. (Syn: Capsicum frutescens L., family: Solanaceae) is an herbaceous spice plant cultivated in tropical and subtropical conditions in different countries of the world. In India it is commonly known as “Lal Mirch”. The present study deals with response of UV-B radiation on different growth parameters of capsicum crop. Plants were grown in the field and exposed to supplemental UV-B radiation (280-320nm) for 1 hr and 3hr regularly supplied by the sunlamp, 300 watt from sowing till seedling stage. The total UV-B irradiation received by the plants from the lamp was 24.23 Jm -2 s -1 . The seed germination percentage was significantly decreased by 1 hr and 3 hr UV-B irradiation. The exposure of 1 hr UV-B irradiation showed promotory response on chlorophyll content and biomass of plumule and cotyledons while exposure of 3 hr of UV-B irradiation showed inhibitory effect on growth and chlorophyll content of seedlings.
