Delaware Higher Education Office As part of the Delaware Department of Education, the Delaware Higher Education Office (DHEO) works to ensure that postsecondary education is accessible and affordable for Delaware residents by providing information and financial assistance to students and their families. We administer 23 state-sponsored financial aid programs, which include grants, scholarships, regional contracts, and professional incentive programs. Last year, 2,114 Delaware residents were awarded $4,252,800 through these programs. As a member of the Southern Regional Education board, Delaware is able to provide additional tuition savings for its residents through the Academic Common Market (ACM), a tuition-savings agreement among 15 southern states. ACM students attending college last year saved an average of $12,800 in tuition costs, totaling more than $1,340,000 in savings for the year. Since joining SREB in 1998, Delaware families have saved over $11,600,000 through the ACM program. To increase educational opportunities for Delawareans, DHEO works with state officials to develop new financial assistance programs. Product Folder Sample & Buy Technical Documents Support & Community Tools & Software LM35 www.ti.com SNIS159D – AUGUST 1999 – REVISED OCTOBER 2013 LM35 Precision Centigrade Temperature Sensors FEATURES DESCRIPTION The LM35 series are precision integrated-circuit temperature sensors, with an output voltage linearly proportional to the Centigrade temperature. Thus the LM35 has an advantage over linear temperature sensors calibrated in ° Kelvin, as the user is not required to subtract a large constant voltage from the output to obtain convenient Centigrade scaling. The LM35 does not require any external calibration or trimming to provide typical accuracies of ±¼°C at room temperature and ±¾°C over a full −55°C to +150°C temperature range. Low cost is assured by trimming and calibration at the wafer level. The low output impedance, linear output, and precise inherent calibration of the LM35 make interfacing to readout or control circuitry especially easy. The device is used with single power supplies, or with plus and minus supplies. As the LM35 draws only 60 μA from the supply, it has very low self-heating of less than 0.1°C in still air. The LM35 is rated to operate over a −55°C to +150°C temperature range, while the LM35C is rated for a −40°C to +110°C range (−10° with improved accuracy). The LM35 series is available packaged in hermetic TO transistor packages, while the LM35C, LM35CA, and LM35D are also available in the plastic TO-92 transistor package. The LM35D is also available in an 8-lead surface-mount smalloutline package and a plastic TO-220 package.

F O L L O W I N G THE DEATH of Osama Bin Laden, many American young people across the country gathered on street comers and in front of the White House, some celebrating with chants of "U-S-A" and others singing the national anthem. Press coverage of the youthñil celebrators, many of them part of Generation Y or the Millennial Generation, renamed these young people the "9/11 Generation."' Newspaper accounts following Bin Laden's demise discuss him as "the common evil" that the Millennial Generation faced in much the same way as their grandparents had faced Hitler.2 One student remarks that Bin Laden's death is "the defining moment" of his generation.^ Nine-eleven, it appears, is a memorable moment for this generation. Over nine years earlier, on September 11, 2001,1 was also concemed about how young people would come to understand what came to be called "9/11." After spending the moming of September 11, 2001 watching television as the Twin Towers in New York collapsed, I arrived on campus to teach my lower-division history class, and was immediately informed that classes were cancelled for the day because of the "evil attacks." Since I regularly tell my students that "evil" is not a useful analytic term for the writing and understanding of history, I devised a questionnaire for my History 101 students to assess their understanding of the event."
