PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING. 1. You should always disconnect the battery, negative lead first, before working on the ignition system. When you are done reconnect the battery installing the positive lead first. 2. The drive gear installed on this distributor is melonized and therefore compatible with flat tappet or hydraulic roller camshafts. If it is to be installed with a mechanical roller camshaft, a bronze or other such compatible gear for the 0.500” shaft will need to be purchased and installed. HOW TO INSTALL THE DISTRIBUTOR 1. If the distributor to be replaced has not already been removed from the engine, remove its cap. Do not remove the spark plug wires at this time. 2. Crank the engine slowly until the rotor blade aims at a fixed point on the engine or firewall. Note this point for future reference. 3. Unplug all external connectors coming from the distributor. 4. Now put the existing cap back on and note and mark which spark plug wire the rotor (blade) is pointing at. Then number the wires according to cylinder and remove the wires. If in doubt you can leave the wires connected to the old cap and transfer them to the new cap and distributor later in the process (see point # 9).
Important: Read these instructions before attempting the installation. Parts Included: 1 - Pro-Billet Distributor 1 - Rotor, PN 8467 1 - Distributor Cap, PN 8433 1 - Wire Retainer 2 - 1.5" Self Tapping Screws 2 - 10-32 x 3/4" Socket Head Screws 1 - Advance Kit 1 - 3-Pin Harness 1 - Gasket 1 - Tube of Gear Lubricant 2 - O-Rings 1 - Vacuum Advance Lockout Kit 1 - Coil Wire 1 - Blaster SS Coil, PN 8207 WARNING: Before installing the MSD Ready to Run Distributor, disconnect the battery cables. When disconnecting the battery cables, always remove the Negative (-) cable first and install it last. Note: The terminals of this Distributor Cap require spark plug style terminals. You may need to change the terminals and boots of your wires. MSD offers two kits, PN 8849 or PN 8848 that are supplied with nine boots and terminals.
Do you live in Calgary and have a laptop computer that is no longer serving you, or is too expensive to fix? If you do, you may be wondering where to recycle it.

AH180 MICROPOWER OMNIPOLAR HALL-EFFECT SENSOR SWITCH Description Pin Assignments AH180 is a micro-power Omnipolar Hall-Effect switch designed for portable and battery powered equipment such cellular phones, PDAs and portable PCs. Based on two HallEffect plates and a chopper stabilized architecture the AH180 provides a reliable solution over the whole operating range. To support portable and battery powered equipment the design has been optimized to operate over the supply range of 2.5V to 5.5V and consumes only 24uW with a supply of 3V. (Top View) 3. Output 2. GND 1. Vdd (SIP-3L) (Top View) The single open-drain output switches on with either a north or south pole of sufficient strength. When the magnetic flux density (B) is larger than operate point (Bop), output is switched on (Output pin is pulled low). The output is turned off when B becomes lower than the release point (Brp). The output will remain off when there is no magnetic field.
