GRIFFITH CONTINUE ONLINE AT SOTHEBYS.COM-December 9, 2000 -- New York, NY – In a packed salesroom at Sotheby’s in New York today, 399 lots of Important Robots and Antique Toys from the Estate of F.H. Griffith totaled $1.4 million. Competitive bidding for toys and robots from this famed collection drove some prices up to two and three times their high estimates and established nine records for various robots and toys at auction. Highlighting today’s sale was the Carpenter Tally-Ho Coach, circa 1885 which sold for $66,300 establishing a new record for a cast-iron, horse-drawn toy at auction. Leila Dunbar, Senior Vice President and Director of Sotheby’s Collectibles Department said, “Just like Sotheby’s sale of the Matt Wyse Robot Collection in 1996, the records set today prove that prices for robots and space toys continue to conquer new frontiers.”
Lab #5: Design Example: Keypad Scanner and Encoder - Part 1 (120 pts) Objective The objective of lab assignments 5 through 9 are to systematically design and implement an FPGA-based keypad scanner. The keypad scanner will utilize a FIFO for data storage and retrieval, a display mux, and the seven-segment displays, slide switches, and LEDs of the Digilent Spartan3 prototyping board. The top level block diagram of the system is shown in Figure 1 and the I/O in Table 1. When a button of the hex keypad is pressed the system must decode the button and store the data in an internal FIFO. The read button will be used to read data from the FIFO and display the data on the seven-segment displays. The mode_toggle input will be used to toggle between display states so that more than eight signals can be presented for view on the LED’s. The LEDs will display the status of the FIFO and other information. The hardware prototype will be verified to operate with the Grayhill 072 hex Keypad. A system partition is shown in Figure 2. As input mode_toggle is depressed output DGrp will toggle between DGrp1, DGrp2, and DGrp3 as denoted in...
Today's lines are way too sharp for that approach! Years ago, before personal computers became a household appliance, Las Vegas depended on a handful of well respected lines makers to set the numbers.
Vacuum home elevators are easier to install and maintain than traditional home elevators. There is no hoist-way construction, no pit, no machine room, no maintenance. 2 to 3 day installation by our factory-trained technicians.
It is of critical importance that Pharmaceutical facility process air and gas lines are monitored for microbial contaminants. While air sampling and other quality procedures are obviously required, regulatory standards demand that process air/gas systems used for production activities (e.g., product pushes, overlays, material blow down, etc.) receive routine quality testing, with the same level(...)
