EYEPIECE FOCUSING The eyepiece is designed to provide a precise fast focus. The eyepiece will focus faster than your eye can compensate for any inaccuracy in your adjustment. Look at a distant object for several seconds without using your scope. Then, shift your vision quickly, looking through the scope at a plain background. Turn the fast-focus eyepiece clockwise or counter clockwise to adjust to your eyes. The reticle pattern should be sharp and clear before your eye can refocus. After you have made your adjustment, with a quick glance re-check the image. WARNING: NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN THROUGH THE RIFLESCOPE (OR ANY OTHER OPTICAL INSTRUMENT). IT MAY PERMANENTLY DAMAGE YOUR EYES. CENTERING THE RETICLE The reticle was carefully set at the optical center of your riflescope at our factory. This setting provides you with the ideal adjustment range from the center position. The riflescope’s adjustments are used to zero-in the riflescope. It is wise to check the center of the optical axis before mounting. Do this by placing the scope in a solid V-block (cardboard box with two slots). While looking through the scope in a normal viewing position, carefully rotate the scope. If the target moves in a circle larger than 1” from center (at 25 yards) in relation to intersection of crosshairs, reset windage and elevation adjustments. Remove adjustment caps. Set each adjustment to midpoint and recheck for centering. If target still rotates, use adjustments to correct. MOUNTING To achieve the best accuracy from your rifle, your Bushnell scope must be mounted properly.

What is Gestational Diabetes? Gestational diabetes occurs when your body cannot make adequate use of sugar in the blood. It is first found during pregnancy. Your blood sugar can become normal when your baby is born. Insulin is needed for your cells to use sugar as fuel for energy. Insulin is made in the pancreas. If you have diabetes, your pancreas is unable to match the insulin it makes to the amount of sugar in your blood. This causes you to have high blood sugar. • When your blood sugar is high during pregnancy, extra sugar goes to your baby. • Your baby gets extra calories from the sugar and stores them as fat. This can make your baby weigh more at birth and make delivery harder. • Your baby’s pancreas makes extra insulin to handle the high blood sugar from you. • After birth your baby keeps making extra insulin. This causes your baby to have low blood sugar. Your baby may have to stay in the hospital to get the blood sugar level back to normal. What does this mean for my pregnancy? You will need to keep your blood sugar at a normal level to help your baby grow well and stay healthy. If your blood sugar is high you may develop problems during your pregnancy. The problems can include: • High blood pressure (hypertension) • Delivering your baby by C-section (cesarean section) • Bladder infection (urinary-tract infection) What does gestational diabetes mean for my baby? Keeping your blood sugar at normal levels while you are pregnant will protect your baby and keep your baby growing well. But if your blood sugar stays high, your baby may: • have yellowish skin (jaundice). • be very large (macrosomia). • stay in the hospital extra days after birth with very low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). • have a difficult birth that causes shoulder problems (brachial plexus). • have breathing problems (respiratory distress syndrome).

Chicken pasta in a light herbed cream sauce - Jeffrey's Italian Spice Falling in love with my wife made me fall in love with Italy (she grew up in Rome) and the Mediterranean. Clean, simple flavors of sweet oregano, the licorice perfume of toasted fennel seed and a touch of heat from chile arbol. Incredibly versatile spice blend. Qty Measure Ingredient -----------------------------------------------------------1 Box Bowtie or Penne pasta (or pasta of choice) 1 Pound Chicken of choice, boneless/skinless 1 Tablespoon Olive oil Salt and pepper to taste 1/3 Cup Shallot, finely chopped 2 Clove Garlic, finely chopped 1 Tablespoon Italian Spice 1/4 Cup Heavy cream 1/2 Cup Chicken broth 1/2 Cup Pasta water (from cooking the pasta) For the pasta, fill a large pot with cold water and bring to a boil. Rinse and pat dry the chicken. Cut into 1/3" slices and then cut slices into 1/2" squares. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Add salt to taste into the pasta water (to bring out the flavor of the pasta there should be enough salt in the water that you can taste it). With the water at a boil add the pasta and stir. Cook until al dente. In a large skillet over medium-high heat add the oil. Once hot add the chicken and spread it around evenly so it can sauté by not being too crowded. Depending on the size of your pan it may have to be done in batches. Cook for 2 minutes. Turn the pieces of chicken over and cook for 30 seconds. Add the shallots, garlic, Italian Spice, and any reserved chicken and stir. Cook for 2 minutes. Add the cream and chicken broth and bring to a boil (If not ready to add the pasta turn off and set aside). Drain the pasta saving 1/2 Cup of the pasta water.
