2015 SkyMiles Program Details - Delta

1 All flights not marketed and not ticketed by Delta will earn mileage based on a percentage of the distance flown as determined by the fare class paid. As part of our ongoing efforts to improve your travel experience, we’re making updates to the SkyMiles program. Starting January 1, 2015, miles will be earned based on ticket price to better reward customers who spend more with Delta. We’re also creating more redemption options and increasing Award Seat availability at the lowest price points. Miles for Delta flights will be earned based on ticket price instead of distance flown. So when you pay a higher price, you’ll be rewarded with more miles—up to 75,000 per ticket. This update will take effect for flights flown on or after January 1, 2015: You said it should be easier to redeem miles. We heard you, so we’re making Award Travel more flexible and giving you more options than ever for flights booked on or after January 1, 2015.You can redeem miles for Award Tickets on any Delta flight—with no blackout dates. There will be more Award Seats available at the lowest redemption levels and more redemption levels overall, giving members additional options that require fewer miles.

Delta Says No to Phone Calls During Flights Pre ... - Conlin Travel

January 2014 Delta Says No to Phone Calls During Flights The jury is still out on the Federal Communications Commission's decision to lift the ban on allowing passengers to make phone calls during flights. According to a poll conducted by CNET, 80 percent of the 2,051 individuals who responded say no to the question "Do you want in‐flight cell phone calls?" It seems as though Delta has paid attention to responses like this to the recent news of the possible lift of the ban. In an official memo to Delta employees, CEO Richard Anderson said "Delta will not allow cellular calls or internet‐based voice communications on‐board Delta or Delta Connection flights." Anderson also mentioned their customer research and direct feedback from frequent flyers tells them allowing voice calls during flights would ruin travelers' flight experiences. Delta is a company on the progressive front when it comes to bettering the flying experience for its passengers. This notion is backed up by the company's quick response to the FAA allowing electronic devices to be used during all phases of flights (from gate to gate). Delta was the first airline to file their plan with the FAA. Pre‐Check Application Process Launched by TSA and Customs and Border Protection agency announces Global Entry Program for International Travelers in the U.S. On Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013, The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) launched a public‐facing "Pre‐Check" airport screening program enrollment process. Since the Tuesday announcement, travelers in the Indianapolis area are able to apply and complete background interviews at the application center at Indianapolis International Airport (IND). The TSA plans to open additional application centers in the New York City, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles areas. The overall plan for the application centers is for the TSA to open 300 across the United States.

Travel Backpack- Safeguarding All Your Travel Essentials

Travelling is not a simple experience so it is important for you to assure that your things are all secured. With that, you need to have the perfect backpacks for travelling. It is also important that you select the perfect size for the travel backpack you are using. Do not forget that a big one can add weight while a small one might not be sufficient. If you have the wrong material and it abruptly rains, then your things will be soaked unless the travel backpack you select is a waterproof backpack.

Water, in its purest form, is odorless, nearly colorless and tasteless. It's in your body and the beverages you drink. You use it to clean yourself, your clothes, your dishes, your car and everything else around you. You can travel on it or jump in it to cool off on hot summer days. Many of the products that you use every day contain it or were manufactured using it. All forms of life need it, and if they don't get enough of it, they die. Political disputes have centered around it. In some places, it's treasured and incredibly difficult to get. In others, it's incredibly easy to get and then squandered. What substance is more necessary to our existence than any other? That's Water for you.' says Sangeeta Nagpal.
