Kejadian bencana di Indonesia menjadi bagian yang tak terelakkan dampaknya di lndonesia, dan baru disadari semenjak terjadinya bencana gempa bumi dan tsunami yang dahsyat di wilayah Provinsi Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam dan Kepulauan Nias, Provinsi Sumatera Utara, gempa bumi di wilayah Provinsi Dl Yogyakarta dan Provinsi Jawa Tengah pada Mei 2006, serta beberapa kejadian bencana lainnya pada tahun 2007. Sebagai negara kepulauan, hampir seluruh daerah pesisir lndonesia rawan bahaya geologi terrnasuk tsunami. Selain itu, kerusakan lingkungan akibat eksploitasi sumber daya alam yang berlebihan menyebabkan hampir seluruh wilayah Indonesia rawan bencana banjir, longsor, kekeringan. Miskinnya pemahaman terhadap sanitasi lingkungan juga mudah memicu terjadinya wabah penyakit Kejadian bencana tersebut menuntut upaya tanggap darurat secara cepat dan menyeluruh bagi korban dan wilayah yang terkena dampak bencana, serta upaya tindak lanjut berikutnya dalam rangka pemulihan kehidupan masyarakat dan daerah pasca bencana. Dalam rangka melanjutkan tugas Tim Koordinasi Perencanaan dan Pengendalian Penanganan Bencana semenjak tahun 2007 melalui Surat Keputusan Meneg PPN/Kepala Bappenas No. Kep. OllA/M.PPN/01/2008, telah dibentuk Sekretariat Perencanaan dan Pengendalian Penanganan Bencana (P3B) dengan tugas-tugas mengumpulkan dan mengolah data dan informasi untuk mendukung pelaksanaan tugas Tim Koordinasi Perencanaan dan Pengendalian Penanganan Bencana termasuk menyusun laporan pelaksanaan kepada Tim Pengarah, mendukung dan memfasilitasi koordinasi antara pemerintah pusat, pemerintah daerah dan lembaga donor. Since it was formed in 1958 by Mike Costin and the late Keith Duckworth in a small workshop in London, England, Cosworth has become the most successful engine manufacturer in the history of Formula One. In addition it has achieved enormous success in IndyCar, Champ Car, Rally, Sports Car and Touring Car. The company soon outgrew its little workshop in Acton and moved to north London, where the Ford 105E engine was developed. Cosworth’s first race win followed - at Goodwood in 1960, a Formula Junior win for the young Jim Clark. By the mid 1960s the company had moved again, to Northampton, and in 1966 a contract was signed with Ford to develop a new three-litre Formula One engine. The legendary DFV was born. Jim Clark again provided the maiden victory, first time out at the Dutch Grand Prix in 1967. The DFV went on to dominate F1 for 15 years with 155 race wins. In the 1970s the Cosworth DFX ruled the US IndyCar scene with an incredible 151 race wins in a 14-year reign, including 10 driver’s championships and 10 Indianapolis 500 victories. Through the 1980s and ‘90s, Cosworth continued to provide race-winning power with three World Touring Car titles in 1987, ‘93 and ‘94. In Formula One the HB engine won 11 races, while in the US Nigel Mansell’s CART championship in 1993 and Jacques Villeneuve’s in 1995 were both powered by Cosworth XBs. In 1994 the Zetec V8 F1 engine took Michael Schumacher to his first world driver’s title. In rallying the Ford Escort Cosworth and the Duratec-R powered Focus WRC gave Ford yet more success.

They weigh significantly less than the stock (cast iron) apex seals and provide lower mass, keeping the apex seal in contact with the rotor housing face at high rpm. At high rpm, the stock (cast iron) seal overcomes the spring, causing the seal to skip across the rotor housing surface, reducing engine performance. Cast iron seals also can warp at high rpm. Iannetti Advanced Carbon Apex Seals Design The two (2) spring design allows for a higher spring pressure which helps improve chamber sealing. This design feature allows the engine to be run with a higher degree of timing before “ TDC,” retarding the onset of pre-ignition or detonation and effectively increasing the engine’s horsepower capabilities. The insignificant wear characteristics of the material allows the use of almost double the apex spring pressure than could be used with other stock or carbon apex seals. This capability also contributes to better sealing, thereby improving the containment of the combustion chamber pressures, which in turn, assists in preventing the onset of detonation.
