Begin the installation at the underside of the front bumper. Carefully release the bolts and/or factory clips and remove the plastic spoiler. NOTE: It may be necessary to remove the bumper mounted factory fog light or cover (if equipped) to access the spoiler hardware. Place the spoiler on a clean, stable work surface. Starting on the passenger side, remove the (2) factory hex nuts from the bumper bolts securing the bumper bracket to the back of the bumper. Select the driver side Frame Mounting Bracket and hold it up behind the bumper. Align the holes in the Frame Mounting Bracket with the (2) bumper bolts. Attach the Bracket to the bumper bolts using the factory hex nuts, (Figure 1). Snug but do not tighten the hardware at this time. Cover the top of the bumper cover with a layer of masking tape to prevent damage to the cover during bracket installation, (Figure 4). Remove the (2) factory hex bolts located on the bottom of the crossmember, (Figure 2A& 2B). Select the passenger side Top Frame Mounting Bracket and attach it to the crossmember using the factory hex bolts, (Figure 3). Push the Bracket back against the crossmember and tighten the factory hardware on this bracket only at this time.
Starting at the underside of the front bumper, carefully remove the plastic splash guard. NOTE: Depending on the model of truck, the splash guard may be attached to the bottom of the truck with hex bolts and several two-piece plastic push-in clips. NOTE: Pay close attention to the type and location of all factory hardware for reinstallation. First, remove all hex bolts then locate the clips behind the bumper cover, (Figure 1A). Pry up on the center pin of the clip with a small flat blade screwdriver and remove the entire clip, (Figure 1B). The splash guard may also be attached to the bumper cover with rivets or hex bolts at the corners. NOTE: If the splash guard is fastened with rivets, first remove all of the other fasteners from the splash guard. Hold the bumper cover in place and firmly pull the splash guard from each rivet. Remove the rivets from the bumper cover and move the splash guard to a clean stable work area. 3. From underneath the front of the vehicle, determine if the truck is equipped with or without tow hooks. For models without tow hooks: A. Select one of the Upper Frame Brackets and the driver side Lower Frame Mounting Bracket. Bolt the two together with (2) 12mm Flat Washers, (2) 12mm Lock Washers and (2) 12mm Hex

Getting Started with CVs and Cover Letters Every graduate student needs a curriculum vitae, or CV Your CV represents your accomplishments and experience as an academic and helps to establish your professional image. Well before you apply for faculty positions, you will use your CV to apply for fellowships and grants, to accompany submissions for publications or conference papers, when being considered for leadership roles or consulting projects, and more. CV’s are also used when applying for some positions outside academia, such as in think tanks or research institutes, or for research positions in industry. As you progress through graduate school, you will, of course, add to your CV, but the basic areas to include are your contact information, education, research experience, teaching experience, publications, presentations, honors and awards, and contact information for your references, or those people willing to speak or write on your behalf. Some formatting pointers: There is no single best format. Refer to samples for ideas, but craft your CV to best reflect you and your unique accomplishments. Unlike a resume, there is no page limit, but most graduate students’ CVs are two to five pages in length. Your CV may get no more than thirty seconds of the reader’s attention, so ensure the most important information stands out. Keep it concise and relevant! Be strategic in how you order and entitle your categories. The most important information should be on the first page. Within each category, list items in reverse chronological order.

Also, if you have been referred, include that person’s name and their relationship to you. Short paragraph (2-3 sentences). (2 spaces) This is the "why I am qualified" paragraph which briefly highlights and details some of your most relevant experience and qualities as they relate to the job for which you are applying. Detail how you could contribute to the company and relate your experience and skills to the specific job qualifications. TIP: Pick 2-3 points you want to make and provide specific examples to support those points. This is the longest paragraph of the letter (you may break it into 2 paragraphs if it looks too lengthy.
