Quality Improvement of Pumping Element used in Diesel  Fuel Injection Pump

Pumping element is an important component of a diesel fuel injection system. This project was carried out in Bosch. Ltd Adugodi, Bangalore. Using Pareto analysis, defects with highest percentage rejections are found. Barrel bore taper more and Honing Lines rejections were 2.5% and 1.8% respectively in the year 2013. Root cause analysis is done using Shainin Technique. Reason for the cause is analyzed and the solution is found. The solution is optimized by analyzing the Physics behind the problem. Optimized solution is validated for a calculated batch over particular period. After validation the solution is incorporated for daily production. The rejections were brought down by more than half.

This research paper focuses on the analysis of the network that links governmental institutions, non-governmental organizations and United Nations agencies involved in the process of adapting to climate change in Sudan; to find out how they are communicating and cooperating. This paper has adopted qualitative method approach and Desk-based review of various documents and similar research papers as methodology to attain the results. Interviews and focus group discussions have been carried out with key ministries and institutions at national and sub-national levels, executive personnel in local nongovernmental organizations and with some United Nations agencies working in Sudan. Effect of some factors on lipase production by Bacillus  cereus isolated from diesel fuel polluted s

Optimization the production of extracellular lipase in culture of Bacillus cereus has been investigated. From 10 samples of diesel fuel polluted soil it was found that 3 samples was positive for the presence of B. cereus. Lipase production by B. cereus isolated from diesel fuel polluted soil was investigated and optimized. The enzyme production was increased with increasing time and maximum enzyme activity was obtained after 72 hrs of incubation. Effect of pH and temperature indicated that, the lipase production was maximum at pH 8.0 (60.2 U/ml) and at 35°C (55.25 U/ml). The lipase production was optimized in shake flask experiments. With a selected carbon sources, maltose (65.5 U/mL) and nitrogen source, peptone (66.25 U/mL) was suitable substrates for accelerating lipase production.
