The correct supply of water and nutrients is important in hydroponic growing systems in order to use water efﬁciently, avoid stress situations, and control production. The present study was conducted to evaluate two irrigation scheduling techniques for hydroponic tomato production in Navarra, northern Spain, related to the crop water requirements. The results show that although daily over-irrigation was applied (45.7% of drainage), 18% of the total yield (35 kg m−2 ) was affected by blossom-end rot problems, due to water stress suffered by the crop. Irrigation scheduling by time clock was not ﬂexible enough to satisfy the varying crop water requirements through the day and during the season. With constant irrigation intervals and volumes, water and fertilisers were wasted during the morning (excessive irrigation) whereas during the afternoon, the plants suffered water stress. Irrigation scheduling by radiation method at a level of 0.81 MJ m−2 , with some supplementary time clock irrigation applications during the hours of darkness (in order to keep the growing medium wet), appeared to be a good solution. The U.S., Canada and Mexico are major producers of greenhouse tomatoes in North America. NOTES ON ALL GENERAL MOTORS HARNESS SYSTEMS We have done a great deal of research on General Motors wiring harnesses in order to provide you with the most authentic wiring systems possible. While doing this research, we had the opportunity to study original harness blueprints and specifications for some General Motors products. All of the data we examined specified that the wire was to have a natural cotton base color (a light tan) braided over the rubber insulation, with tracer colors woven in for wire identification. The tracer colors would consist of a single thread parallel tracer or two single thread crossing tracers, as specified on the harness blueprints. After the cotton braid was applied to the wire it was to be given a protective coating consisting of a heat, oil and water resistant varnish. This protective coating would color with age and cause the original wire to appear dark yellow, orange, or brown. All the wire we use for General Motors vehicles conforms to the original color codes as specified by the manufacturer. One note on our General Motors harness systems: At this time we cannot supply the original type GM twist connectors, the rear body plug, or the turn signal switch plug. Rough in framing opening following the recommended dimensions (Section A: Framing). 2. Allow 8” of service cable for connecting to the junction box on the fireplace. Remove the outer jacket and strip the individual conductors ½” from the end. 3. Loosen the screw securing junction box cover and remove the cover. 4. Remove knockouts if necessary or use the provided cable clamp. 5. Place unit in position in the opening, level with shims if necessary and attach unit to frame using nailing flanges provided. 6. Unit is factory wired for 208/240 volt power supply. If 120 volt operation is required, slide the switch and reconfigure the wiring as covered in section C wiring. Wires L1, L2, N & G are attached to the rear of the junction box cable clamp for easy access. 7. Wire a dedicated, properly fused circuit with a 20amp rating for the appropriate voltage (120, 208/240). 8. Make wall mounted thermostat connections as outlined in Section C: Wiring. 9. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Location 1. The fireplace may be hanged on any wall surface that can support its weight and where it can be leveled. As it does not irradiate any heat from the back and no rear clearances are needed. 2. The heater, which is located at the base of the fireplace, must be a minimum of 16 inches away from any combustible material. 3. It is important that the wall on to which the fireplace is to be installed is of sound construction. It is recommended that the brackets are installed directly into beams for support. But not necessary depending on the size and weight of the unit. 4. Yosemite fireplaces are approved for indoor use only. 5. The fireplace must be kept away from any source of damp or moist conditions. Avoid any close contact with water. 6. This fireplace produces heat. Consequently it is important to ensure that a suitable wall covering is selected behind and around the appliance. Typical wood frame drywall construction is suitable. 2|P a g e Installation Figure 1 1. Select the position of the fireplace on the wall to which it is to be mounted. Draw a level horizontal line on the wall at the required height. This line will correspond to the top of the fireplace so it is important to allow for the extra height of the glass face. 2. Mark the center line of the fireplace on to the horizontal line. 3. Place the Installation Plate along the horizontal line and line up the center “V” cut out with the center line. See Figure 1. 4. DRYWALL INSTALLATION Install screws into studs at 4 outside corner screw holes. If studs are not present, install self drilling hollow wall anchors at the 4 outside corners and find wood studs with at least 4 more screws on the mounting plate (two high and two low). Holes are offset to allow finding wood studs at normal spacing. Attach more screws into larger models as needed.
